TITLE:  Dragon Guardians

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG (This is not suitable for God’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2012 Phase 4 Films / Kaboom! Entertainment / Barton Films / Dibilutoon Studio

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This cartoon movie takes place in Dragon Hill, where hundreds of years before the dwindling dragon population sought refuge and safety when knights and dragon hunters waged war on them. The Heart of the Oak was the three in the center of Dragon Hill. An evil dragon planned to take over the world by using the powers of the ice fortress to turn everyone and everything to ice so no one could stand against his word domination. He sent an ice dragon after Robin, a young male elf who was the Guardian of the Forest (and he wore a short dress-like attire), but the evil dragon’s minion failed to keep the dragon aloft. Robin prayed to Father Yavanameyer, the Sacred Tree, and the other gods for help to stop the freeze. A UFO flown by two eggplant aliens then crashed, and Robin planned to train the aliens to fight because he believed they were messengers of the gods. Meanwhile, in the Green dragon family, Galadriel believed that her husband Ken was wasting his time on ridiculous paintings. She told him to get rid of the paintings and start being useful, so Ken convinced himself that he didn’t need a family and left. He tried to convince his son Elfie to join him, but Elfie refused and declared that he wanted to have an adventurous life traveling the world and fighting tyranny and spreading justice instead of a boring life like Ken’s. Elfie’s grandfather Ethelberg sent a message Gwidian the White, the Ice Lord and guardian of the ice fortress, about the winter. Elfie’s human friend Kevin decided that he didn’t want to be a knight anymore because they fought and destroyed dragons and rescued princesses from them. Kevin wanted to be useful instead and started exploring the library so he could read all the books and learn everything there was to know. He and Elfie found a book about the Dana Hin, a group of dragons called the Dragon Knights. They demanded they tell them about the Dana Hin, and he explained that it meant “children of the gods.” The Dragon Knights vowed to protect the world and Dragon Hill, and they built Celine, the White City, around the Oak. Ken went to Celine, where Skelton soldiers confronted him and attacked him with weapons. He jumped off a cliff to escape them and landed in the middle of the Oak tree, where he discovered that that Heart of the Oak was dying and the whole Earth would be lifeless if it died. Ken returned home, where Ethelberg announced that the freeze was not caused by climate change like everyone thought but was in fact the doing of Igor Khan, a former Dragon Knight who was imprisoned in the ice fortress after the Knights defeated him with the help of the Guardian of the Forest (Robin). Igor Khan turned evil and used the sword called Esilme to become invincible and betray the Dragon Knights, who then abandoned Celine. Some of the Knights agreed with Igor Khan while the others did not. He and Ken fought over Esilme and Gala, and Ken chose to marry Gala so he did not get possession of Esilme. The Guardian took Esilme and put it in the Iden’s Finger rock in the Forest of Swords. Ethelberg told Ken that he was the last remaining Dragon Knight, and he needed to take a stand against Igor Khan and use Esilme (which could only be used by a Knight) to defeat him once and for all. Since the Guardian was the only one who could remove Esilme from the stone, Ethelberg told Elfie (who was surprised to learn that his dad was a Dragon Knight) to find the Guardian and go to the Forest where Ken would be waiting for him in three days. Ethelberg gave Elfie a star to help lead him to the Guardian. The evil dragon’s minion explored a cavern in the ice fortress, and he accidentally freed Igor Khan from his lifelong prison. Elfie’s plane crashed and Robin just happened to be nearby. He agreed to help Elfie and explained that it wasn’t Igor Khan who was causing the freeze, but in fact the evil dragon and his minion who used the ice fortress, which was actually a weather station, to control the climate after Gwidian “died from the flu.” Igor Khan was glad that Gwidian was dead from the flu and stole Gwidian’s magic ring. Igor Khan decided to spare both the evil dragon and his minion because they freed him from prison, but he threatened to destroy them if they came around again. The two wicked dragons revealed to Robin and Elfie that Igor Khan escaped. Robin and Elfie tried to travel through Yavanameyer the Sacred Tree to get to the Forest, but a rock wall trapped the path. The aliens had followed the duo, and they meditated and use their mind powers to teleport Robin and Elfie to Iden’s Finger. They arrived just as Ken and Igor Khan battled each other with swords and Igor Khan blasted Ken with Gwidian’s ring. Robin tried to pull Esilme out of the stone but couldn’t because his powers were gone, and Elfie was the one who successfully removed the sword. He tossed it to Ken, who used it to stab Igor Khan and destroy him and the sword was broken. Everything went back to normal and Elfie and Ken returned home. Ken gave Gwidian’s magic ring to Robin, and then Ken told Gala that he loved her.

TITLE:  Gremlins

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 1984  Warner Bros.

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie began in Chinatown, where Randall (Rand) Peltzer visited Mr. Wing’s store in search of a Christmas present for his teenage son Billy. Rand was an inventor, but his creations always went wrong and made huge messes around the house and his wife just kept cleaning them up and supporting him. Rand liked the strange Mogwai (devil in Cantonese) creature and tried to offer $200, but Mr. Wing refused and said he wouldn’t sell Mogwai at any price. However, Mr. Wing’s young grandson sold Mogwai to Rand without his grandfather knowing and told Rand the three rules: keep Mogwai out of bright light and sunlight which would kill him, don’t give him water to drink or a bath, and never ever feed him after midnight. Billy worked at the small-town Kingston Falls bank and took his dog Barney to work with him. On the job, Billy’s bank co-worker, Kate Beringer, asked him to sign a petition to stop Ruby Deagle from shutting down Dorry’s tavern. Mrs. Joe Harris was at the bank and asked to talk to the vice president to get the Harris family more time to pay their bills but her request was refused. Ruby the richy rich town tyrant lady showed up and cut in line and told Billy that his dog Barney broke her snowman decoration, so she wanted to take Barney to the pound and have him put to sleep or catch him herself and put him in the dryer for a slow and painful death. Barney attacked Ruby, and she started wailing about her weak heart but was fine as she ranted and clearly she belonged to a gang of fake dramatics to get her way. Rand gave Mogwai to Billy, and they named the male creature Gizmo. Billy introduced Pete Fontaine, a local boy whose father sold real Christmas trees, to Gizmo, and then Pete accidentally spilled water on Gizmo. That caused male Gizmo to have five baby Mogwais (gremlins) led by Stripe, and they were hyperactive and did mean things. Later that night, Billy found Barney outside wrapped up in the Christmas lights and Billy figured it was wicked Ruby’s doing. Rand went away to an invention convention and planned to be back for Christmas, and he brought Barney with him and then left the dog at a relative’s house close by. Billy took Gizmo to Roy Hanson, a local school science teacher, and demonstrated the water multiplication. Roy kept the newest gremlin at the school for blood testing. Kate worked a second job at Dorry’s pub for almost zero wages, and the Peltzer’s neighbor Murray Futterman got drunk and ranted about gremlins. Kate convinced Murray to walk home and not drive his American made snowplow that he liked so much (he often complained about the foreign cars) since he had way too much to drive home. Kate then told Billy as he walked her home that Murray lost his job and was depressed. Kate added that the suicide rate was highest during the holidays and some people opened their wrists instead of presents at Christmas. Kate admitted that she didn’t celebrate Christmas and hated it, and then Billy asked Kate out on a date and she accepted. Billy fed the gremlins chicken that night, and the next morning they were in cocoons like butterflies. Billy realized that the gremlins tricked him into feeding them after midnight by unplugging his clock. Roy explained that the gremlins would soon transform into something else. On Christmas Eve, all the transformed gremlins hatched. Roy’s gremlin hatched in the science lab at school so Roy called Billy to tell him it was time. Roy then went back into the classroom and when he tried to give the creature a candy bar it bit Roy’s hand. Billy came in to find Roy ‘s lifeless body under a table with a syringe in his butt and the demonic gremlin was eating glass and then escaped through the school vents. The gremlins at the Peltzer house ganged up on Gizmo and threw darts at him on the dartboard, and then they put him in the laundry chute. Billy’s mom, Lynn, heard the strange noises and went to investigate with a large kitchen knife, and Billy called Lynn and told her to get out of the house but they got disconnected. One of the gremlins had pulled out the phone line and another turned the Christmas music on downstairs to freak Lynn out. Lynn turned the blender on with one of the gremlins inside it and it bled green all over the walls. Another threw plates at Lynn, so she stabbed it with her butcher knife multiple times and then she put a third gremlin in the microwave so it exploded inside when she turned it on. A fourth one jumped on Lynn and attacked her, and when Billy came in he struck the Mogwai with a sword and it landed in the fireplace where it burned up. Stripe escaped out of the house. Billy dropped Lynn off at Dr. Molinar’s house for her wounds to be treated as she had deed scratches on her face. Billy found Gizmo in the laundry chute, and the two followed Stripe’s tracks to the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association, founded in London, England). Stripe landed in a pool and multiplied by the hundreds. Billy tried to get help from Sheriff Frank Reilly and Deputy Brent Frye, but they didn’t believe Billy. The gremlin messed with the antenna on the Futterman TV, so Murray went outside to investigate and the gremlins drove Murray’s snowplow into the house. They called the Sheriff and his Deputy, and they decided to check it out and thought it was a freak accident. The Mogwais came to Ruby’s door pretending to be carolers, and she was terrified and when she went up her escalator chair to escape she went through the glass window. The gremlins attacked people in the streets, and the police didn’t know what was going on and kept driving. They swerved to avoid hitting a truck, and the truck crashed through a building while the police car flipped over. Billy was finally able to get his car working and went to Dorry’s tavern. The gremlins were at the bar and wrecked the place. Kate struggled to keep up with their demands of alcohol, cigarettes and dance music. Billy rescued Kate, but then his car wouldn’t start so they ran into the bank. Kate explained that when she was 9 years old, her dad didn’t come home on Christmas Eve. The police searched for him, but it wasn’t until about five days later that Kate and her mom smelled something dead in the chimney. The firemen were called and pulled Kate’s dad’s dead body out of the chimney. He had tried to climb down it with presents to surprise his wife and daughter on Christmas Eve, but he slipped, broke his neck and died instantly so that’s how Kate knew there was no Santa. All the wicked gremlins then broke into the movie theater and made a mess of it, and they gorged themselves on the refreshments and watched Snow White. Billy set a fire in the boiler room and locked the door, and he and Kate ran. The theater exploded with the gremlins inside, but Stripe was gone to the department store to get candy. Billy and Kate kissed. Stripe shot Billy in the arm with an arrow from a crossbow and then went after Billy with a chainsaw. Stripe only stopped when Kate was able to turn on all the lights. As Rand came home for Christmas, Barney knew something was up and ran into the store. Stripe shot at Billy with a gun, and Gizmo drove a toy car around the store. Gizmo turned on the bright lights and put Stripe in the spotlight, and Stripe then turned into a smoldering skeleton that dissolved. Gizmo was injured but was okay, and the Peltzers and Kate took him home. Mr. Wing from Chinatown appeared and told the Peltzers that he was taking Gizmo away because they weren’t ready to take care of him yet but he would be waiting for them when they were ready. Gizmo said bye to Billy, and Rand gave Mr. Wing his invention of a smokeless ashtray as a gift. This movie had a budget of $11 million and grossed over $212 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, David Ansen, Newsweek, “Exhilarating. A hoot, not to be missed.” Richard Corliss, Time, “what superior popular moviemaking is all about!”

TITLE:  A Plumm Summer

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2007 Paramount Home Entertainment / Home Team Productions / Fairplay Pictures / Freestyle Releasing

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie is inspired by a true storyand takes place in the small Montana town of Peaks View in the summer of 1968. It was the home of Happy Herb McAllister, his wife Viv the Genie, and their marionette puppet Froggy Doo. The Froggy Doo Show was the number-one kids show in the state for 22 years running. Four-year-old Rocky Plumm was obsessed with everything Froggy Doo. When Rocky went to Mr. Spreen’s store to buy “cigarettes,”Mr. Spreen gave him a pack. Later on, a girl asked Rocky’s older teen brother, Elliott, to jump off the high dive with her, but he was afraid and didn’t do it so the other kids picked on him and it humiliated him as he dragged his younger brother out of the unsupervised pool area. Rocky wanted to go to the live appearance of Froggy Doo at Sacagawea Park and also have a Froggy birthday a few days later, so mom told her oldest son to take the youngest son to the park froggy show. After Elliott and Rocky’s dad Mick got home, he ignored Elliott and Elliott’s photographs that he shot with his camera around town because Rocky was Mick’s favorite son. Elliott’s mom, Roxie, smoothed it over and showed Elliott that his photographs were great and his grandfather liked photography too. At Froggy’s event in the park, Rocky was mad that big brother Elliott was taking pictures of the new neighbor girl Haley, the daughter of deputy sheriff Wayne Dubois, and not Happy Herb. Elliott then took pictures of a fire that someone set on the outside of the stage, and then Herb and Viv announced that Froggy couldn’t make an appearance because Froggy suddenly went missing. Some of Froggy’s young kid fans were extremely upset and cried on the spot. The boy scouts went out into the woods in search of Froggy while the police shut down the bridges and made roadblocks to search vehicles. However, the sheriff told everyone that they weren’t equipped to handle a missing puppet that famous. When Elliott found out there was a $700 reward, he wanted to solve the mystery and cash in but he was told to leave it to the police. Wayne came over and introduced himself to the Plumms, and after the deputy neighbor left, the family then played around spraying each other with a hose. Elliott went to go see Haley and told her that his dad hated cops and he was a former boxing champ. Eliott invited Haley to come with him and Rocky to the McAllister house to ask them about Froggy. At Herb and Viv’smansion house, they explained that Froggy and his fans were like their children because they had none of their own. The neighborhood kids tried to have Sport, the Plumm family dog, sniff Froggy’s shoes and find the puppet, but instead Sport led them to the store in town where the Froggy shoes were sold. Someone left a box outside the McAllister house, and inside was Froggy’s bowtie and a ransom note claiming that the frognapper would send Froggy back in pieces if the police got involved. FBI agents Hardigan and Brinkman came to town on the case because extortion was a federal crime. Elliott told the agents that the FBI was a public agency and worked for Elliott, so he demanded facts. The kids found scratch marks proving that Froggy’s case was dragged from backstage. As the FBI agents interrogated Herb and Viv, the frognapper called and wanted a $1,000 ransom for Froggy. They were instructed to have the money ready by the following day and leave it at the drop location. Roxie was upset that Mick was still hanging out at Old Faithful’s bar again at his age with his high school buddies and always getting drunk, so she called to talk to him. Mick wanted the bartender to lie for him but he didn’t, and Roxie told Mick that he was drinking their money away when they could barely pay the mortgage. Elliott and Haley concluded that it always boiled down to either greed or revenge, just like with the Hardy Boys and Trixie Belden who the kids were fans of. Elliott, Haley and Rocky went to talk to Binky the Clown from Froggy’s rival show and get his alibi. Binky claimed that Froggy going missing was bad for Binky’s show so he didn’t want to get rid of the competition. The kids hanging out alone in town again then discovered that a color cartoon show was replacing Froggy’s show as they watched from a store window. The bully kids were mean to Rocky, so Elliott punched Billy the Bully in the face and gave him a bloody nose. Elliott regretted it because he didn’t want to be like his dad and resort to fighting. Haley scolded Elliott for calling little Rocky mean names like stupid everywhere they went and Elliott said it was what older siblings did. Elliott danced and sang to Elvis in his shared bedroom, and he didn’t realize that Haley had her walkie-talkie on and could hear him. Rocky then got up on his bed and mocked Elliott’s impersonation of Elvis singing. The boys then heard a crash, and Haley called for her dad while Elliott went to investigate. Elliott found that a rock had been thrown through the window and smashed the glass. There was a note attached to the rock that said to stop looking for Froggy otherwise Rocky would get hurt. Elliott’s mom came in the room and he showed her the rock but hid the note from mom. Elliott and the others asked for their friend’s (Orin) help because he wanted to be a reporter. The FBI agents came into the diner, and the kids used their walkie-talkies to listen to what the FBI agents were saying as they called into Washington and stated the drop location. Afterward, Orin agreed to drive the kids to the mill so they could take pictures of the kidnapper before the FBI got there. Elliott’s group hid in the mill and watched Herb put the money in the mailbox. Two boys then came and tried to take the money, and the kids took their pictures. The guilty boys confessed that the whole ransom thing was a prank and they didn’t have Froggy at all. It ended up on the front page of the newspaper, and the agents knew HQ wouldn’t be happy that the FBI got made a mockery of. Roxie told Elliott that his dad would whup him when he discovered that Elliott snuck out, and Rocky told Elliott that he wasn’t a hero because Froggy was still missing. The kids went to see the McAllisters, and Sport started digging in the pumpkin patch. Viv quickly tried to cover it up, and Elliott insisted that Sport wouldn’t dig unless there was something to dig for. Viv denied it, and when Elliott looked all there was to see was a buried bone. Rocky didn’t want to eat his Froggy-Doo birthday cake until his dad got there so they waited. However, the kids were asleep by the time Mick came home drunk on his motorcycle three hours later. He tried to gift Rocky with a watch identical to Mick’s, but Mick dropped the watch in his drunken stupor and then stepped on it and broke it so Rocky ran away screaming upset. Mick told Elliott to get him a beer, so fed up Elliott smashed three beer bottles against the wall and another aimed at Mick’s head when he came outside. Mick took off on his motorcycle to go back to the bar, and Elliott took his anger out on his dad’s punching bag nearby the house in the open shed. Elliott told his mom that he hated his dad and his dad hated him and blamed him for making Mick quit his boxing career after Roxie got pregnant with him.The next morning, Wayne came to the house and told Roxie that Mick was in jail for a while after he got into a serious fight at the Old Faithful bar the previous night. The FBI pulled Elliott over on his bicycle and asked him about the note that came with the rock. He lied that it was Billy, but the FBI knew that Billy’s alibi was airtight. Elliott rode off on his bike and told the feds it was there job to figure it out. Elliott knew that Haley told the agents about the note, and she explained that Sport brought the waded up note no doubt in the trash to Haley and Wayne at the deputy’s house after Elliott threw it away. Elliott revealed that he and his family were moving to St. Louis soon, and he snapped at Haley and told her he was sick of babysitting the new girl around town and that upset her more. Roxie took the boys to the jail to see Mick, and he made it fun and games to be there and claimed that he would only go to Old Faithful’s bar on the weekends when he got out. Roxie told Mick that his boss fired him and she didn’t want to lose the house she grew up in because of Mick, so she was putting the house up for rent and moving the boys to St. Louis with her to live with Aunt Carol. Before they left the jail, father and son had a heated discussion alone and it ended with tears. Mick told Elliott that he used Roxie being pregnant to blame her and Elliott for Mick not being a successful boxer. Elliott sent Haley a Morse code message to tell her he was sorry, and she accepted his apology. Roxie had to go out and find her sons who were out on their bikes instead of helping her pack. She loaded up their bikes and them in the pickup truck and told Haley to come over later to say goodbye. Elliott and Rocky again snuck out of the house, and they and Haley went to get the pictures that Elliott took on the day of Froggy’s fair. Elliott discovered in a photo that the culprit hurt his hand while dragging Froggy’s case out the side of the stage in the back area, and lit a fire on the other side of the building for misdirection so people would look there while the frognapper put the case in the dumpster to hide it and come back for it later. The trio asked Mr. Spreen’s nephew Wally, the assistant manager of the store, for a list of everyone at the event and he didn’t have one yet. Little Rocky, now five years old, noticed that Wally had a bandage on his hand, so they figured out he was the frognapper. They left the store and big brother (young teen) had little brother Rocky use a phone and call Wally and tell him yahoo, he was Froggy Doo and to let him out because he couldn’t breathe. Just as the young detectives hoped, Wally freaked out and closed up the store to get Froggy. The others and Orin decided to go after Wally. Haley said that according to Trixie, sometimes a motive was love and not just greed or revenge. The kids went to the McAllister house, where they discovered Herb wasn’t home and then they figured out Viv was in on it. Viv locked the kids in a room inside the house, and Wally showed up and brought groceries as a cover to tell Viv the female mastermind what happened. Wally declared that the photos proved nothing without the body and he told Viv to get rid of Froggy Doo for good otherwise Wally would take Viv down with him if he got caught. The FBI watched Wally and spotted Orin tailing Wally, so the agents followed. The kids watched Viv dig Froggy Doo’s case up out of the pumpkin patch, and they were able to unlock the door. Elliott threw a ball into Viv’s red convertible so Sport (the dog) chased after the car down the road. Elliott and Rocky followed in a motorcycle and sidecar. Haley called her dad and he went to help, and Mick asked Wayne to let him come and Wayne eventually agreed. The agents did crosswords in their car and didn’t know what was going on until the kids ran by in the street and told the clueless federal agents that they were headed to save Froggy. Everyone caught up to Viv on the bridge, and she planned to dump Froggy’s case into the water. Viv told Herb to pick her or Froggy, and when he didn’t answer, Viv threw Froggy’s case in the river. Elliott jumped into the fast-moving rapids water and grabbed onto Froggy’s case, and he was able to survive the strong current and rocks and get to the shallows. Mick was the first one there and hugged Elliott. The FBI car crashed, and Viv ran into a stack of hay bales and Sport consoled her. Haley told Elliott that he was the bravest boyfriend a girl could ask for. Herb told Viv that Froggy was just a puppet, and he loved Viv and kissed her. Rocky was upset to learn that Froggy was a fake puppet, so he ran off alone down the trail by the rapid water. Elliott went after him, and he and Rocky agreed they were each other’s best friends. The Plumms then hugged it out, and Haley held Elliott’s hand for a family picture that made it onto the front-page newspaper. Rocky continued to be a fan of Froggy Doo, Mick found a better job and gave up Old Faithful bar, and Elliott eventually married Haley. The movie cover art listed, Lael Lowenstein, Daily Variety, “A Plumm Summer deliciously blends action, comedy, and a touch of sweetness.” Dove Foundation, “An exciting who-done-it for the family!”

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie began in England, where a tween boy named Prosper went to rescue his six-year-old brother Boniface (Bo) from elder guardians Aunt Esther and Uncle Max Hartlieb. The boys boarded a train and then stowed away on the Emanuela to Venice. Esther and Max figured the boys would go to Venice because their mom, who died three months before, had planned to take them there. Aunt Esther and uncle Max went to Italian private detective Victor Getz in Venice, after the boys had been missing for a week. They explained that they wanted custody of Bo and not eldest Prosper. Prosper didn’t want Bo to be with the older relatives so he kidnapped his younger brother. Meanwhile, Bo had a bad cough, so Prosper planned to steal medicine from a pharmacy but decided to put it back. Prosper was chased outside by the shopkeeper, and then he and Bo met up with 15-year-old Scipio Massimo, the infamous Thief Lord, that took the shopkeeper out of the chase and then warned the two boys about the dangerous streets and rats. Scipio brought brothers to the Stella, an abandoned movie theater where Scipio and his gang of orphan thieves lived and hung out. The other children, Riccio, Mosca and the only girl there, Katerina “Hornet” Grimani) gave Bo stolen medicine and the boys stolen clothes. They then took the newcomers for a ride on a boat in the canal, where they were chased by the police and escaped by putting a decoy boat in the path of the police and causing the police to crash. Scipio then offered Prosper and Bo a place at the Stella if they could convince their buyer Ernesto Barbarossa to give them a better price for their stolen goods since he always ripped them off. Prosper bargained with Barbarossa and got hundreds more for the items than he would have usually paid. Barbarossa informed Prosper and Riccio that a man called the Conte wanted to meet with the Scipio in person and offer him a job. Victor, in one of his many disguises, then confronted Prosper and said his name, so Prosper and Riccio ran and escaped onto a boat, but not before Riccio shoved the investigator hard. Scipio and the gang met with the Conte in a church confessional, where the Conte offered the children 50,000 to steal a wooden artifact. The Conte left behind a basket with everything they needed inside the church. It contained a photograph of the wooden wing that the Conte wanted, as well as a homing pigeon named Sofia that the kids were instructed to release once they found the wing. Another time, Victor pretended to be friendly and talked to little Bo on the street. The parentless child gave the strange man his name, the name of his mean aunt and said that he lived in an old theater. Bo told Scipio that the stranger’s watch had a moon on it, so Scipio went over to Victor and asked Victor for the time and saw that it was the same watch. Victor’s fake mustache was also falling off, so Scipio knew that Victor was in disguise and was after them. To help her partner in crime escape, Hornet grabbed onto Victor and pretended that Victor was grabbing onto her, so a passerby beat on Victor and the gang of children escaped. Scipio agreed to let his pack help him with the heist. It turned out Scipio lied about being an orphan when he was in fact the son of the very wealthy Dottore Massimo and whenever Scipio disappeared he was going home to his mansion. Dottore owned the Stella, and Victor figured that was the theater the kids were hiding in. Victor lied to the man and asked permission to investigate the Stella so he could write a news article on it, so Dottore agreed and told Scipio to give Victor the key. Scipio didn’t give Victor the key and instead went to tell his homeless kid gang to pack their bags so they could leave. However, the children had a plan and stayed. Victor picked the lock on the Stella’s door and let himself in, and the kids tackled him and tied him up. Scipio overheard that Dottore planned to have Scipio’s uncle tutor Scipio because Dottore thought his son was a nuisance. Mosca and Bo untied Victor because he gave them his word of honor that he wouldn’t run away and he would help them fix the projector so they could watch movies. Hot-headed Riccio tried to attack Victor but the others held him back. Prosper and Bo then discovered that Scipio lied about being a homeless orphan, and Riccio didn’t believe it and knocked on the mansion door. Dottore was irate and screamed at Riccio and the others to stay away. The kids then discovered that Victor was gone, and he left them a note that he, the private investigator, was on their side and wouldn’t turn the band of thieving children in. Riccio, Hornet and Mosca decided that they needed the money and would go through with the theft without Scipio the phony. Prosper sat it out, but Bo decided to go with the trio and Prosper was mad but joined them when he figured out that Bo ran off secretly with the others. The children broke into the house of Victor’s friend, Ida Stravengo the photographer, and searched for the wing. Scipio was also there doing the same. Ida found them and held her broken gun on them, and she claimed that she had pictures of Bo there in her home because she photographed kids on the street. Ida revealed that she lived in a Merciful Sisters orphanage for ten years and was given the wing by the Catholic sisters when she left. Ida didn’t know why the wing was worth so much money, so she and the kids met with Sister Antonia. Sister Antonia explained that a merchant donated the merry-go-round to the orphanage, but then it disappeared. Sister Antonia found the wing in the attic and gave it to Ida for safekeeping. Bo knew about the merry-go-round because his mom used to tell him stories. The five wooden figures were a mermaid, a merman, a seahorse, the flying lion (which the wing came from) and a unicorn. On cue, a beautiful white horse representing the unicorn galloped by. Sister Antonia added that the merry-go-round was magical because any child who rode it forward would become an adult and any adult who rode it backward would become a child and the nun’s great-great-grandmother was a witness. Ida agreed to let the kids turn the wing over to the Conte and Ida would go with them. They released Sofia the pigeon and she went to find Conte. Victor lied to Esther and Max that Prosper and Bo left Venice and went to Corfu, and the aunt and uncle were unconcerned because they did what their hired private investigator Victor couldn’t and put up their own missing posters for Bo. The kids went to Barbarossa’s and retrieved a note from Conte, who told them to meet him on the lagoon. The Conte and his sister the Contessa gave the kids and Ida the money in exchange for the wing. They followed the Conte and Contessa to an island that was said to be haunted. The Italian royal siblings then shot at Ida and the kids so they fled. Hornet and Bo were at the theater, so Barbarossa decided to turn them into the police for money. They ran but were apprehended, and Dottore threatened Scipio if it turned out his son was involved with the theater gang. When Prosper and the others found out, the kids thought Victor betrayed them but Victor explained that he didn’t and he was their friend. Victor told the children that all the money was fake money. Victor called Esther and Max and they informed him that Bo was with them at a hotel. Hornet was sent to the Merciful Sisters, and Ida went there to pick her up. Bo snuck out of the hotel, and when Esther and Max found him missing they called Victor and told him to find Bo. Victor went to the theater and Bo was there. Scipio convinced Prosper to go to the secret island and ride the merry-go-round so they could become adults and be taken seriously. The Conte and Contessa were now both children and explained that the merry-go-round worked and the fake money was Barbarossa’s idea. The Conte agreed to fix things and told the boys that their payment would be a ride on the merry-go-round to grow up. Prosper didn’t go through with it because he wanted to be Bo’s brother and not Bo’s dad. Scipio chose the seahorse, one of the water creatures, and the merry-go-round worked and he aged into a young man. Barbarossa then appeared and wanted a ride, so Scipio told him to mount the lion so he could be younger. However, the merry-go-round then burned up and was ruined, and Barbarossa emerged as a boy about Bo’s age. The next morning, Victor brought Bo to Ida’s house and Prosper went to see him. Esther and Max then appeared because they had followed Victor and Bo, and the elders demanded to have Bo back. Max slapped Riccio when he called Esther a skank, so Riccio attacked Max and Esther and the other boys joined in. Max stopped it by grabbing Ida’s gun, and he was told it didn’t work so he pulled the trigger and a bullet shot through the wall. Max claimed that they told him it wasn’t a loaded gun before he used it. Scipio then used his grown-up self to tell Esther and Max to leave Venice or he would call the police, so they left. Ida and Victor dressed up pretending to be from the Merciful Sisters, and they told Esther and Max that Barbossa was an orphan so Ester and Max adopted Barbossa (who was really an adult). The kids retrieved the 50,000 and some bonus money from Barbarossa’s safe and they put the fake money in place of the real money. Scipio split the money between everyone and put the rest in their bank accounts, and he used the money to buy Mosca and Riccio a boat. Bo pushed elders Esther and Max into the Italian canal. Victor agreed to let Scipio to be his new assistant. Ida and Victor decided to make a family with the kids and adopt them off the streets (and use the stolen merchandise in the hideout theatre to help pay for everything no doubt). The movie cover listed Film Advisory Board, “Wow! Move over Harry Potter! The Thief Lord is a wonderful visual treat.”

TITLE:  Anna and the King

REASON: This movie takes place in 1862 and began with the Siamese (now Thailand) king Maha Mongkut (the Lord of Life) summoning British schoolteacher Anna Leonowens to work at his palace in Bangkok because the ways of England were the ways of the world. Mongkut wanted Anna to teach his eldest son and heir Prince Chulalongkorn. Anna’s English soldier husband died 23 months before, and she and her young son Louis and their Indian servants Moonshee and Beebe came from the British colony of India with no money. Anna was brought before the prime minister Kralahome, but because women were not supposed to stand up Kralahome called Anna “sir.” PM Kralahome eventually revealed that he spoke the English language and informed Anna that she and her company would live in the palace and not the quarters outside the palace that were previously arranged. Nearby and outside the palace walls, the Burmese soldiers hung and killed many men and threatened to return if the grieving women cut them down. Anna had already waited three weeks to meet King Mongkut and didn’t want to wait any longer, so she barged into a French meeting to speak to King Mongkut. The King liked Anna’s English boldnessand announced that Anna would teach all 58 of his children (with 10 more babies on the way) that the King alone sired with his 23 wives and 42 concubines. Anna would also tutor first Lady Thiang. The school children were expected to be taught English language, science and literature when they were of the right age. Anna tried to protest about her housing quarters, which made Mongkut angry. Anna explained to her young son Louis that Siam was a monarchy like England and the royal family maintained control by taking many wives and producing many children in the event of disease and war. Louis then wondered why Queen Victoria didn’t have multiple husbands, and it was because “love” was different in Siam than in other places. A young woman named Tuptim was taken to the palace to be one of Mongkut’s concubines, but she didn’t want to be with him and was upset to leave her suitor Khun Phra Balat. The next day in the classroom, king Mongkut sent teacher Anna a present at school and that led to a fight between prince Chulalongkorn and Louis. Anna broke it up. That night, Anna heard a slave woman named La-ore crying and discovered that she had been chained up for six weeks by her mistress after La-ore tried to buy her freedom. PM Kralahome told Anna not to worry about it because it would work out in time. Prince Chulalongkorn asked Anna about the slavery, so she gave him the book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” by the USA author Harriet Beecher Stowe. La-ore’s mistress complained to king Mongkut that Anna freed La-ore and then wanted to buy her. The mistress wanted her slave back, but she didn’t get her way so she stormed off. King Mongkut believed Anna was the equal of a king, so he allowed her to stand in his presence while everyone else bowed. King Mongkut decided to give Anna, Louis and the servants their own house outside the palace grounds because Anna was nice to Mongkut’s favorite daughter, Princess Fa-ying. Tuptim started learning English and asked Anna to send a message to Tuptim’s family (actually her love interest, Balat). King Mongkut told Anna not to teach his son with books like Uncle Tom’s Cabin and in turn the king wouldn’t offer Anna’s young son any cigars to smoke. During a costumed Siamese ceremony, prince Chulalongkorn and Louis stole some cigars and Louis got sick from smoking afterward because they boys were left unsupervised. A Burmese death squad shot dead a Siamese merchant who rejected the Englishman Mycroft Kincaid from the East India Trading Company. England hid behind Burmese assassins, but the stench was still British. Anna taught her students to achieve the impossible by changing the climateand demonstrated by adding heat to a boiled egg on top of a glass jar. King Mongkut planned to invite the British diplomats to Siam and form an alliance with them, so he put Anna in charge of the arrangements and entertainment. King Mongkut allowed the servants to stand in his presence just for that one night, and the Siamese learned how to eat with utensils and dress formally so they would appear civilized. At the party, General Alak told Lady Bradley that the Siamese didn’t want Taksin ruling him because they thought he was insane, so they beat him to death and instead had Mongkut’s grandfather rule. King Mongkut broke tradition and kissed Fa-ying goodnight, but not any of his other 68 children. Kincaid tried to publicly embarrass the king by saying he wished he was Siamese so he could have as many women as Mongkut. Mongkut reminded everyone that England’s Trading Company was monopolizing the world and making profits to become wealthy and powerful. To break up the war party, Anna announced that no culture was better than any other and England was not superior. King Mongkut then danced a waltz with Anna, instead of any of his birthing females. Balat had a message delivered to Anna that was intended for Tuptim through a boy messenger as Anna shopped at the farmer’s market. Balat explained to his love that he devoted his life to Buddha and became a monk, since he could not longer be with the woman he loved. Beebe told Anna that she was so happy after the dance that Anna might want to consider being Mongkut’s next wife since the king liked her in that way. The army figured out that the Burmese planned to go an unexpected route to invade them. King Mongkut told Anna that they were at war with the British Burmese and not the French. The King then gave Anna a large expensive ring as a gift of gratitude for her help planning the British anniversary party, but she wouldn’t accept it. School was then canceled because of ten days of monsoon rain. Fa-ying went out in the storm to put drawings in Anna’s window, and she fell sick with cholera. Anna went to see Fa-ying, and she was told not to be sad otherwise the dying child’s soul would cling to the mourners. However, Anna and Mongkut both cried at the little girl’s bedside when Fa-ying died in the king’s arms. The people lit candles in baskets and sent them out on the water to mourn the loss of the King’s daughter. King Mongkut refused to go on a picnic with Anna and his other children. The King told Anna she wasn’t qualified to lecture because she was a teacher, a widow and a mother but not a woman and she wouldn’t move on past her husband’s death since Anna refused his gift. King Mongkut saw a monkey outside that stole his glasses, and it reminded him of Fa-ying because monkey was her nickname and she was always a impish child, so that nature encounter made him smile. Anna planned to go skinny-dipping in the middle of the night, but before she could King Mongkut appeared. He gave Anna a letter that he received from the United States and asked her to read it to him since his glasses were still missing. The letter was from Abraham Lincoln, who Mongkut admired, but the President was not in a position to help Siam (the elephant), and the USA was grateful for the indication of friendship from the Siamese by reaching out to the USA. King Mongkut told Anna that she could teach the children whatever she wanted, and it was his prerogative to object, as he felt needed, when new subjects were introduced. The Siamese army invaded a Burmese camp and killed the enemy soldiers. General Alak tried to make a toast to Mongkut’s brother, Prince Chowfa, but Prince Chowfa knew the drink was poisoned. All of General Alak’s soldiers who consumed the drink then fell extremely ill because Alak was a traitor, and General Alak shot Prince Chowfa dead (and the King’s general poisoned his own soliders in the process). King Mongkut and everyone else thought the deaths were the fault of the Burmese and not Alak, one of their own. Anna told the British Lord and Lady Bradley it wasn’t right that they came as guests of the king (still in Siam) and turned around and tried to destroy Siam. Anna was told not to concern herself with England’s politics. Anna then discovered that Tuptim shaved her head bald and planned to become a monk so she could be with Balat. Tuptim left Anna to explain to Mongkut that Tuptim didn’t want to be a concubine and instead chose to devote her life to Buddha. Before Tuptim could escape, the Siamese soldiers cornered her and she was brought in chains before a court of three judges to be judged for her wicked behavior. Balat was also brought there after he had been tortured, and the judges gave the two the death penalty. Tuptim explained that she tried to be a monk not because Balat told her to but because she couldn’t live without his love. She walked among the men in the monastery with Balat believing she was a fellow brother and not his ex-lover, but the judges lied and claimed that Tuptim went to Balat’s bed. She argued that it wasn’t true, and then her back was beaten bloody with a cane. Anna protested and announced that she was going to tell King Mongkut. The King was angry and told Anna to go home because she made it look like she could tell the king what to do, so he couldn’t intervene after the torture of the prisoners without looking weak. British Anna basically told the Siam king to get a spine and stop fuling with an iron barbaric fist. He dismissed Anna, and Tuptim and Balat were publicly executed beside each other using swords. Anna and King Mongkut were not there but were equally upset about the deaths of the innocent. Anna started packing up the house to leave and move to England. Kincaid went to see PM Kralahome and told him that he was now their people’s best friend because he knew for a fact the British weren’t behind the deaths of the Siamese. It cost Kincaid a lot of money to gain the information, and with Mongkut on the throne the Trading Company made more money. Kralahome informed Mongkut that Alak planned to kill all of King Mongkut’s children and then use his own soldiers on the border against him. The King’s armies were too far away from the palace to protect it, and Alak was only days away and would attack soon. King Mongkut told PM Kralahome to recall the armies and tell them there were glad tidings and a white elephant that hadn’t been seen in 20 years was recently spotted as a distraction. The people celebrated in the streets, while PM Kralahome met Anna at the dock headed to Newcastle. He explained that King Mongkut invented the white elephant so he could take his family to safety in a monastery in Nong Khai under the impression that they were going to greet the elephant. PM Kralahome begged Anna to convince Mongkut to be with the children until his armies returned and secured the palace in Bangkok. Anna went to the palace and persuaded King Mongkut to let her and Louis go with him because the Burmese wouldn’t shoot at the boat with an Englishwoman onboard. Mongkut told Anna that he had a vision of Tuptim and Balat and he believed they were together in eternal peace. Buddhists liked Mongkut also believed in birth and rebirth to learn from their mistakes. Anna replied that she knew that life was precious, especially for a Christian who only got one life. She said she came back because Anna couldn’t imagine Siam without King Mongkut. There was a spy who reported the royal family’s location to Alak and how the white elephant was a diversion. Alak figured out they were going to the monastery where Mongkut spent half his life. King Mongkut and the soldiers spotted Alak’s army in the distance and planned to blow up the bridge when they crossed it. King Mongkut instructed Anna to take the children to the monastery and told her it was possible for them to succeed because the world was created in seven days according to Anna’s Bible. King Mongkut hugged all of his children then and decided to show the others some affection. The few soldiers and the King set up the explosives under the bridge and waited for the command, but then King Mongkut confronted Alak and his army on the bridge. Anna had an idea and used the bugle and set off fireworks that smoked the trees and wooded area to make them think the British were coming, and Alak’s army retreated because they all feared the British army. King Mongkut told his soldiers to spare Alak and let him live with his humiliation, and King Mongkut left him. Alak grabbed a gun from a dead soldier, but a Siamese soldier below the bridge ready to blow it up at the King’s command then spotted Alak about to shoot his King and so the solider made the decision and blew up the bridge before he could shoot King Mongkut. The children later put on a white elephant play at the palace, and Anna and King Mongkut danced to the music box that Anna ordered for the children. It was then that King Mongkut didn’t understand until that moment with his British love that he could be satisfied with only one woman, Anna. However, it would never be so because Anna was leaving for England. Prince Chulalongkorn watched the two and held in his memory for the rest of his life the image of his dad dancing with the woman he loved, Anna, and how the British female had such an impact on everyone in Siam. It was written in the end that thanks to King Mongkut and England’s own Anna, King Chulalongkorn maintained Siam’s independence, abolished slavery, established religious freedom and reformed the judicial system. This movie had a budget of $92 million and grossed $114 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, New York Daily News, “Magnificent!” Rex Reed, The New York Observer, “A new spin on a timeless story that is lush, lavish and completely captivating.” NBC-TV, “…filled with grandeur, excitement and deep, uplifting romance!”

REASON: This movie takes place in a small village in the woods called Daggerhorn and began with a young girl named Valerie about eight years old and her friend Peter capturing a rabbit so they could make clothing. Lil’ Valerie was the one who ended up slitting the white rabbit’s throat with the knife and not Peter. Ten years later, Peter told Valerie that her family arranged for her to marry Henry Lazar. Valerie’s mom, Suzette, was happy about it because he came from a wealthy familyand Henry too because he had always wanted Valerie. However, Valerie loved Peter. Valerie and Peter were about to run away together, but then the bell tolled signaling that the dreaded werewolf killed again…this time though it was Valerie’s own sister Lucie. The Lazar family came to offer their condolences, and Henry left with his dad, Adrian, and Valerie’s dad, Cesaire, to go to the tavern and let the women grieve in peace because Henry recognized that Valerie didn’t want to see her fiancé. Suzette told Valerie that she didn’t love Cesaire when they first got married because she was in love with someone else, but she eventually loved Cesaire as the years went by. The werewolf hadn’t killed a human in twenty years because the townspeople led by the questionable priest made a deal that they would sacrifice their best livestock to the wolf every full moon and in return the beast would leave them alone. Father Auguste sent for Father Solomon, the leader of the witch hunters, to come and get rid of the wolf because he had destroyed werewolves and witches before. Valerie then found out that her dead sister Lucie was in love with Henry for a long time and may have suffered a mental breakdown when Lucie found out Henry was engaged to her sister Valerie. Peter tried to pay his respects, but Suzette told him that Henry was right for Valerie because he made a better living than woodcutters like Peter and Cesaire (her husband) did. A group of men agreed to go to the wolf’s lair at Mount Grimmoor and kill the beast themselves instead of waiting for Father Solomon. Peter went with the group and told Valerie that their relationship was over and she needed to marry Henry. Henry gave Valerie a silver bracelet that he had planned to save for their wedding. Valerie told Grandmother her troubles, and Grandmother gave Valerie the red hooded cape she made for the wedding. The hunting party succeeded in killing the wolf but not before the wolf killed Henry’s dad, Adrian. The men put the wolf’s head on a stake and brought it back to Daggerhorn. Valerie found Suzette crying over Adrian, and Suzette explained that Adrian was the man Suzette loved more than her husband Cesaire, and that Adrian fathered Lucie. Suzette told her daughter, Valerie, to promise never to tell Cesaire about it. Henry believed it was his fault that Adrian died because Henry hid when the wolf appeared. Father Solomon then arrived, and his two daughters were upset to see him go to hunt the beast that killed their mom. Father Solomon told everyone that the creature the village people had killed was just a regular wolf. He explained that when Father Solomon and his buddies were drunk, they went out to hunt the werewolf that was plaguing their village. Father Solomon cut off the wolf’s paw and then came home to find Penelope with a bloody rag around her wrist and then a hand in place of the paw. Father Solomon realized that his wife was the werewolf in human form, so he killed her to protect his daughters and village. Father Solomon went on to say that during a normal full moon a wolf bite would kill a person, but during the Blood Moon that occurred once every 13 years and lasted three days, a wolf bite would pass on the curse to whomever it bit so no one was safe until the Blood Moon was over. Father Solomon announced that the wolf misled the villagers into thinking that his lair was on Grimmoor when he in fact lived among them as a human. That made everyone suspicious of each other. Father Solomon suggested that they barricade the village, but the villagers didn’t believe Father Solomon and decided to have a party to celebrate the death of the wolf. Valerie spotted Rose dancing with Peter, so Valerie did the same sexy dance moves with female Prudence. Henry then confronted Peter and told him it was Peter’s fault Adrian was dead because Peter told the group to split up. Peter held Henry off with a knife and then left. Valerie followed Peter, and the two agreed that they loved each other and kissed passionately. The real werewolf appearing interrupted them from having sex. The bloody wolf attacked the village and killed multiple people. Valerie was cornered by the wolf, and the wolf spoke to her and knew her name. She could understand the black wolf’s words, and he told her that she was a killer just like him because she killed the white rabbit when she was younger. The wolf explained that he would leave Daggerhorn alone if Valerie left with the wolf, otherwise he would kill the other villagers starting with her loved ones. The wolf left saying he would be back for Valerie before the Blood Moon waned. Valerie told Roxanne not to tell anyone about Valerie speaking to the wolf otherwise they would think she was a witch. The townspeople were locked in the church overnight because the werewolf couldn’t cross onto holy ground. The next day, Father Solomon announced that everyone’s houses would be searched and anyone thought to be guilty of black magic or witchcraft would be destroyed. One of the witch hunters was bit by the werewolf and was cursed, so Father Solomon killed the man. Peter asked Valerie to leave the village with him, but she refused because his words were too similar to what the wolf told her. Grandmother took care of the deep wolf scratches on Suzette’s face and that’s when Valerie noticed that Grandmother’s eyes were the same as the killer wolf. Henry told Valerie that he was going to break off the engagement because he saw Valerie and Peter when they were alone and knew that they wanted to be together. Valerie gave the silver  bracelet back to Henry. Father Solomon and the witch hunters then went after Roxanne’s “special” brother, Claude, when they discovered him hiding in the tower. Father Solomon lied and claimed that Claude was a conjurer who studied black magic and screamed about Satan. Father Solomon then put “special needs” Claude in the Roman torture chamber to get the name of the werewolf out of the special needs male, even though Claude could hardly speak and hold normal conversations. Father Auguste protested, and Father Solomon declared that sometimes God’s system wasn’t flawless. Roxanne went to Father Solomon with coins and even offered her young body to him in exchange for the release of her brother. Roxanne started undressing, but Father Solomon didn’t want her. She then offered the name of a witch (Valerie), and Father Solomon agreed to the deal and had Valerie brought to him in chains with a mask. Roxanne testified that Valerie was a witch because she had different capabilities than others, she could speak to werewolves and her cloak was red, the color of the devil. Father Solomon asked Valerie who in the village wanted her, and when she didn’t reply Father Solomon decided to give Valerie as a human sacrifice to save the lives of the villagers. Henry convinced Peter to let him help try and rescue Valerie. Roxanne then found out that her special needs brother, Claude, was already dead because the tyrant so-called “father” priests killed GOD’s innocent child, and her selling out Valerie was all for nothing. Grandmother accused Henry of being the werewolf, and he accused her of the same because her smell was the same as the one he smelled on the wolf right before Adrian was killed. Cesaire was arrested for trying to help Peter and Henry, and Father Solomon told everyone to go home while Valerie was executed. Prudence told Valerie that she was always too perfect and tricked everyone, but mean girl Prudence wasn’t fooled and believed Valerie was getting what she deserved. Peter and Henry set fires to distract the guards, and Henry freed Valerie from her chains. Father Solomon then killed Father Auguste, and Peter was captured and put in the torture chamber. Henry told Valerie that he would take her away if Peter didn’t come, and she was skeptical that maybe Henry was the wolf but she went with him. They went to the church, where Henry was injured and grabbed by the guards. The wolf then appeared, and Father Solomon tried to fight it and got his hand bitten off. The wolf threatened to destroy the village if Valerie didn’t go with him, but the other villagers backed Valerie up and wouldn’t let her give herself for them so the wolf left. The Captain killed Father Solomon to avenge the death of his brother who Father Solomon killed earlier because of a wolf bite. That night, Valerie dreamed that Grandmother was the wolf and she tried to attack Valerie. Henry and the others went out to hunt the wolf, and Valerie went into the woods. Peter appeared and told her that he escaped from the torture chamber. However, Valerie was certain Peter was the wolf because his wounds were similar to those on the wolf. Valerie stabbed Peter in the stomach and ran to Grandmother’s cottage. Grandmother wasn’t there, and in her place was Cesaire. Cesaire (dad) said he was the werewolf and he killed her Grandmother. He explained that he desperately wanted to leave Daggerhorn and go to the city and bring his eldest daughter with him. He forged a letter from Henry to Lucie telling her to meet him during the Blood Moon so Cesaire could bite Lucie and turn her into a werewolf. However, Lucie couldn’t understand Cesaire’s wolf talk so he realized she didn’t have his blood and he killed her. Cesaire figured out that Lucie was Suzette and Adrian’s daughter, so he took revenge on the two of them. The scent of the wolf that Henry smelled on Grandmother came from Cesaire, whose dad was also a wolf. Cesaire offered to bite his daughter Valerie so she could be a wolf like him, but she refused and called him the devil. Peter then appeared and tried to fight Cesaire, and he knocked Peter out. Peter recovered enough to throw an axe at Cesaire’s back, and Valerie finished Cesaire off by stabbing him with the deadly silver fingernails on Father Solomon’s severed hand that she found. Peter and Valerie threw Cesaire’s body in the river, and Peter discovered that he was bitten by Cesaireand would become a werewolf so he left to keep Valerie safe. Valerie promised to wait for Peter. Henry went on to protect everyone from darkness, and Daggerhorn people still lived in fear even with the wolf gone. Valerie went into the forest to live alone, and Peter later came to see her in wolf form. This movie had a budget of $42 million and grossed over $97 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Shawn Edwards, FOX-TV,“Seductive, sexy and cool. A fantastic twist on a classic tale!”

REASON: This movie began with Gale Cooper and her teenage son Zach Cooper moving from New York to the small town of Madison, Delaware, after Gale got a job as vice principal of Madison High School and Zach’s dad died the previous year. Gale’s sister, Lorraine Conyers, who lived in the area and worked at the local grocery store, gave her nephew a sparkly bedazzled Yankees hat that she designed for men. Zach met teen Hannah, the next-door neighbor, but Hannah’s dad told Zach to stay away from him and Hannah otherwise something bad things would happen. Hannah brought Zach to the Funhouse, an abandoned amusement park in the woods, where they climbed to the top of the Ferris wheel. Hannah’s dad caught them coming home and threatened Zach again. Later that night, Zach saw the shadows of Hannah and her dad in the window arguing about Zach. Hannah screamed and the lights went out, so Zach ran to the door and Hannah’s dad told him to go away. Zach called the police, and male officer Stevens and female training officer Brooks came. Hannah’s dad told the unworldly and inexperienced cops that his ex-wife was getting married in England and she left Hannah with him for a while, but now he was alone because teen Hannah went back to London. The police investigated the screams, which Hannah’s dad claimed came from a surround sound recording of a woman screaming on his big screen TV. Zach insisted that Hannah was inside the house, but there was no obvious sign so the police thought Zach was on drugs and warned him about trying to file a false police report. Aunt Lorraine came over to watch Zach while Vice President Gale left to be the chaperone at the high school dance. Zach spotted two shadows in the neighbor window and knew Hannah’s dad was lying. Champ, a boy that Zach met on his first day of school, was on his way to the dance so outside Zach grabbed him and convinced Champ to break in through the basement of Hannah’s house and investigate after Hannah’s dad left the house (since they knew the police in that town were unreliable). They encountered bear traps in the basement and cobwebs, and that point of entry led into the main house where they discovered a large collection of Goosebumps horror novels written by R.L. Stine. All the books had locks, but a key to open the books was close by. Champ was extremely fearful and said he stopped going to Pasadena to visit his grandma after reading one Goosebump book. Zach took the key to unlock a book about the Abominable Snowman, and Hannah appeared and told him not to, but it was too late. The Abominable Snowman came to life when the book was opened, and the huge creature wrecked the house and then crashed through the window and escaped outside. The three teens followed the Abominable to the ice rink, where the monster gorged itself on candy from the vending machine. Hannah tried to catch the monster and put it back in the book, but she lost the book on the ice hockey rink. Seconds before the Abominable attacked the teens with nowhere for them to run, Hannah’s dad appeared on the ice and put the Abominable back in the storybook where the wicked beast belonged. Zach realized in the car ride home that Hannah’s dad was R.L. Stine, the author of Goosebumps. Mr. R.L. Stine denied his name at first but then admitted it after Zach said that Stephen King was a better writer. Champ took a picture of Stine with his phone, so Stine threw the teen’s phone out the car window because he didn’t want his photo taken and his identity revealed. He rushed home, where he announced that they were moving again because Stine’s name was exposed and he ordered Hannah to pack her bags. Stine explained that he invented the monsters in his books to terrorize the kids who bullied him for his allergies when he was younger, and they were real in his imagination and then became literally real unless the books stayed locked. Stine said he didn’t write about rainbows and unicorns because that didn’t sell 400 million copies worldwide like his teen horror books did. They then discovered that another book got unlocked and unleashed Slappy the creepy and evil ventriloquist puppet. Slappy sped off in a car with all of the books, and as he went he released all of the monsters to wreak havoc on the neighborhood and burned the books so they demons couldn’t be put back inside. Stine and the kids encountered killer gnomes in the house that were magically put back together again when they got broken because none of Stine’s creatures could be killed. The evilly gnomes tried to put Stine in the oven, but he and the teens were able to escape in Stine’s car. The monsters took out the cell phone towers and blocked the roads out of Madison, so there was no power in some buildings and no cell service (so VP Gale couldn’t call Zach from the school dance, which was in full swing). The streets were filled with fire, destruction and people frozen into statues. Slappy went to the police department, where officers Brooks and Stevens called him a dummy so he ordered a group of monsters to freeze the officers. A cute poodle came to Lorraine’s door and then turned into a demon that attacked Lorraine. Zach suggested that Stine write a story featuring every monster he ever created in one book so he could capture them. Stine (not a teacher yet) insisted on going to the school so he could retrieve his typewriter, otherwise the story wouldn’t work. Stine and the teens were attacked by a giant praying mantis, and they escaped into a supermarket (where Lorraine worked and had a reserved parking spot) while the bug smashed the car. They encountered a bloodthirsty werewolf that chased them outside, and the werewolf was only stopped when Lorraine appeared and crashed into it with her car. Zach told Lorraine to go to the police station and have them bring backup to the school. Lorraine went to the police department and called all officers to the school, but then the monsters froze her when she called Slappy a dummy. Stine and the teens traveled through the cemetery. Zach was about to kiss Hannah, but he realized that Hannah was not real when the moonlight shone through the clouds. Zombies attacked the foursome and they just barely escaped. Zach confronted Stine about Hannah, and Stine explained that Hannah was a ghost from his book. Stein brought the teen female to life to keep him company, and she believed she was a real person. Zach told everyone at the dance that the monsters were attacking the town, and nobody believed it until the giant mantis crashed through the side of the public school where the teen dance was going on. Slappy and the gnomes were outside the school building and unlocked the rest of the books, and all the monsters agreed to get rid of Stine. Everyone barricaded the doors of the school and then ran in pandemonium from the ungodly souls. The werewolf went after Taylor, a popular girl, and Champ had a crush on Taylor so he tackled the werewolf and it ran away. Taylor thanked Champ for saving her and kissed him. Stine was unable to finish his story because Slappy confronted him and hurt his fingers by closing them in the lid of his typewriter. Stine created a diversion by sending a decoy school bus to lure the monsters away from the school. They followed and flipped the school bus over, but no one was onboard and the explosives inside went off. Stine was on another school bus with Champ, Hannah and Zach, and he took the high school teenagers (everyone else remained at the school dance) to the Funhouse. The monsters reconstructed themselves after the explosion and found the foursome. Slappy unleashed the last monster, the Blob, and Stine tried to hold it off while Zach, Hannah and Champ went to the top of the Ferris wheel to finish the story. The Blob grabbed Stine, and Slappy taunted him and explained that he was there to get his revenge because Stine created him and then locked him away in a book on a shelf for years. Just as Zach wrote “the end,” the monsters knocked the Ferris wheel down. Zach was going to tell Hannah about her being a fake, but she already knew that she was one of Stine’s creations and needed to be inside the book because she wasn’t real. All the monsters were then sucked into the book where they belonged, and imaginary teen Hannah in human form kissed Zach and he let her go. Zach didn’t want to lose Hannah forever but he had to let her go since all the dangerous things inside the book would appear if he opened the book to let out Hannah again. The next morning, school resumed as normal as repairs were made on the building. Lorraine and Stine hooked up. Stein became the new English teacher and inside the school building he greeted Mr. Black, the new drama teacher. Stine then revealed that he wrote a new book about Hannah, and the storybook teen Hannah returned to the human world in human form and kissed teen Zach at school. Teacher Stine burned the book so his fake teenage girl Hannah could live with him forever. Stine then noticed his typewriter in its case typed by itself, “The Invisible Boy’s Revenge,” because teacher Stein didn’t put all the monsters back inside the fake book where they belonged. This movie had a budget of $58-84 million budget and grossed over $158 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Peter Martin, Twitchfilm.com, “A frightfully fun flick for families.” Scott Chitwood, Comingsoon.net, “The rare film that entertains young and old alike.”

TITLE:  Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout

BOX OFFICE RATED: NR (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2016  Warner Bros. Animation / Warner Home Video / DC Comics Entertainment / LEGO

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This cartoon movie takes place in fictional Gotham City, which was protected from villains by the superhero team the Justice League (Bruce Wayne “Batman,” Damian Wayne “Robin/Boy Wonder,” Clark Kent “Superman,” Diana Prince “Wonder Woman,” and Cyborg “Victor Stone”). Police Commissioner Gordon sent Batman and his sidekick Robin to apprehend Harley Quinn and Penguin, who escaped from Arkham Asylum and were stealing jewels. Penguin was trapped in a cage, and Batman (little known fact…a batman was the servant of a British army officer) and Robin chased after Harley in the getaway car. Penguin and Harley’s female boss Poison Ivy, who planned to use the stolen jewels to take care of her evil planets, confronted the duo and they were able to apprehend the criminals and send them back to their cells at the mental institution. Batman then discovered that the League had a not-so-surprise birthday party planned for him, and they decided to give Batman a vacation as a gift. He was skeptical, but they convinced Batman they could handle the crime in Gotham while he was gone. Batman, Batgirl and Nightwing left to meet with Batman’s former martial arts instructor Madame Mantis at her dojo. Madame Mantis fought Batman and told him to use the forbidden move to defeat her. It turned out she was really a male Trogowog in disguise, and he made a run for it with Slade Wilson “Deathstroke.” He used to be a student of Madame Mantis’s, but she preferred Batman to Deathstroke so Deathstroke left to become the world’s deadliest mercenary. Commissioner Gordon then informed Superman and Robin that the Joker dug himself out of the Asylum using a spoon and plotted evil crimes when he discovered that Batman was leaving the city. Superman was on the case, but Superman made a blunder when the Joker used the spoon to trick Superman into using his powers to blast a hole in the side of the Asylum so the other criminals could escape. Superman couldn’t do anything about the criminals running rampant in the city, so he teamed up with Cyborg and told him to call Wonder Woman to stop the criminals because Superman was too wimpy to do it himself. Batman figured out that Deathstroke must have captured Madame Mantis, so Batman used the bat raft to take Batgirl and Nightwing to the secret cave where the Trogowogs lived. The trio was captured by Deathstroke and brought before Lord Bane. Batman figured out Bane’s plan to use the Psyche Stone to brainwash the Trogowogs into being his army of assassins who would take over the world. Bane captured Madame Mantis and tried to use the Stone to extract the forbidden move from her mind, but she was too strong-willed and Bane couldn’t get the answer even after Madame Mantis was hooked up to the Stone for weeks. Since Batman knew the forbidden move, Bane tried to get the answer out of him but failed and put Batman and the others in the Presidential Suite cell with Madame Mantis and Prince Grungle, the true ruler of the Trogowogs. He explained that the Trogowogs used to be a peaceful civilization who used the Stone to spread friendship and love, but then bane took over and used the Stone to spread hate and destroy Prince Grungle’s dad the king. Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg were captured by Poison Ivy and brought to the Joker Fun House. They tried to fight off the Joker’s minions but were captured and put in a hot tub. Robin then crashed the criminal party and freed the captives. Joker captured Police Commissioner Gordon, but he was freed after Superman finally manned up and knocked Joker down. Batman and his team escaped from their cell, but then they were captured again. Bane succeeded in removing the knowledge of the forbidden move from Batman’s mind, and it was then implanted in the brains of the Trogowogs. Deathstroke insisted that Batman fight him, and the two battled with Deathstroke having the upper hand and the opportunity to disassemble Batman using the forbidden move. However, Deathstroke decided not to defeat his enemy and instead teamed up with Batman just this once to stop Bane. Bane planned to send the Trogowogs out into the world to destroy it, but the wussy and girly-sounding Prince Grungle got a spine and went after Bane. Batman chanted “Batoosie,” which activated the dancing mechanism in the Trogowogs’ minds and made them dance to music. Nightwing and Batgirl used the Psyche Stone to restore the Trogowog minds back to normal. Prince Grungle defeated Bane and put him in the dungeon, and now that the prince was king he hit on Batgirl. Deathstroke told Batman they weren’t friends and would meet again fighting as equals, but Batman believed that Deathstroke now walked the path of honor. The Bats returned home, and the Justice League threw a welcome home party. Superman had begged the others not to tell Batman what happened, and Superman was very nervous when the Dark Knight arrived. However, Superman couldn’t lie and instead broke down and confessed how he was responsible for unleashing crime on the city. Batman wasn’t mad and instead thanked everyone for saving Gotham City in his absence.

TITLE:  Inside Out

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2015  Walt Disney Pictures / Pixar Animation Studios / Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

RATING: [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 2

REASON: The movie began with five cartoon emotions called Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust alive inside the head of a young girl named Riley Andersen since birth, like all humans had. The emotions pressed buttons to control Riley’s emotions and put ideas in her head, and all her memories were collected and stored away. Riley’s most important memories were Core Memories that powered the Islands of Personality in Riley’s mind, such as Goofball Island (Joy’s favorite) where Dad chased bare-bottomed toddler Riley around the house. One day, when Riley was 11 in her rainbow shirt, she and her family moved from Minnesota to San Francisco for Dad’s new job. However, upon arrival in California, the house was dilapidated and run-down and the moving van would be delayed by a few days. Dad had to go into work unexpectedly and he was often on the phone discussing business. Mom and daughter decided to go get pizza down the street but it turned out the west coast joint only served pizza with broccoli. Sadness always feeling left out of the group and ignored then touched one of Riley’s happy memories inside Riley’s head, and the memory turned sad and couldn’t be changed back. Sadness was concerned she was having a breakdown because she couldn’t stop trying to touch the memories, including Core Memories, and the only cheerful thing she could think about was the movie was the dog died. Joy took it upon herself to make sure sadness didn’t mess anything else up so Joy drew a very small circle around Sadness and instructed her to stand inside it and not move. On Riley’s first day at a new school, she stood up in class and told everyone about her move from Minnesota. And then, Sadness left the lonely circle and touched the memory, which caused Riley to be sad and cry. That turned into a blue Core Memory, and Joy tried to stop Sadness from putting the memory with the others. That led to Joy, Sadness, and all of the joyful Core Memories being sucked up a tube and dropped inside the endless corridors of Long-Term Memory. Joy and Sadness discovered that the Islands of Personality were down and would soon disappear if Joy didn’t get back to Headquarters and make Riley happy. Anger, Disgust and Fear tried to take Joy’s place, but Riley remained depressed and angry. At dinner that night, Mom and Dad asked Riley about school and she screamed at them to shut up when Anger took over. Dad’s emotions put the foot down and Dad told Riley to go to her room. Later on, Dad tried to console Riley by doing the family monkey gestures, she wasn’t amused so Goofball Island crumbled to pieces and fell out of the sky. Joy and Sadness came across two mind workers, Forgetter Paula and Forgetter Bobby, who were sending the memories Riley no longer cared about to the dump to fade away and be forgotten. When Riley’s friend Meg from Minnesota told Riley that there was a new hockey player on their team, and Meg was having fun with her, Anger used the control panel to make Riley mad so Riley hung up the phone on her old friend Meg. That caused Friendship Island to collapse. Joy and Sadness then found Bing Bong, Riley’s imaginary pink elephant friend from when she was younger, and heagreed to help them get to Headquarters. Joy promised to make sure Riley remembered Bing Bong. He took them to the Train of Thought so they could travel to Imagination Land. Sadness was worried about the danger sign on the train, but Joy and Bing Bong wanted to take the shortcut. That turned out to be a zone where the trio started “abstracting,” and fragmenting into different stages of three-and-two- dimensional beings. They left just in time before they disappeared forever. They made it to Imagination Land, where Riley’s imaginary boyfriend lived. Mom took Riley to try-outs for a new ice hockey team, but she failed and Hockey Island crashed. All the memories associated with Bing Bong, including the rocket that he wanted to take Riley to the moon on, were then destroyed. Bing Bong was upset and cried candy, but he felt better after Sadness listened to his troubles. Joy, Sadness and Bing Bong caught the train and went to Dream Productions, where Joy was a fan of Rainbow Unicorn. It was there that the workers scripted and filmed dreams every night for Riley. The current dream was a classroom scene where Riley came to school with no pants on and her teeth fell out. Joy and Sadness dressed up in a dog costume and went into the classroom to try and wake Riley up. It didn’t work and the dog costume split in two, and then security was called and Bing Bong, who was carrying the joyful Core Memories, was locked away in the Subconscious. Joy and Sadness found Bing Bong in a cage on top of Jangles the creepy clown, who ate all of the candy that Bing Bong cried. They freed Bing Bong, and then Sadness had an idea to use fear to awaken Riley. The trio lured Jangles onto the dream set and Riley woke up, and then they continued on their way. Back at mind control headquarters, Angry then got out a light bulb and convinced Fear and Disgust to help him put the idea in Riley’s head to run away back to Minnesota where she was happier Fear was skeptical and didn’t want to go through with it, but they plugged the idea in anyway. Tween Riley took the runaway idea immediately and stole her mom’s credit card to buy an online bus ticket to Minnesota. Another Island fell, and the last one left was Family Island. The trio headed there, but it started crumbling so Joy decided to take a recall tube back to Headquarters and abandon Sadness behindbecause Riley needed Joy more. However, Joy fell out of the tube and landed in the dump along with Bing Bong. Riley left for school that morning but she walked to the bus station instead. Joy cried over all of Riley’s forgotten memories in the dump and discovered that some of the memories were both happy and sad. Joy and Bing Bong got the idea to use his rocket to fly out of the dump, but only Joy made it out and Bing Bong encouraged her to keep going before he faded away. Mom and Dad came home and found that Riley wasn’t there, so Mom called Riley but she declined the call on her cell phone and boarded the bus. Anger, Fear and Disgust realized that it was a bad idea and tried to get rid of it, but all the buttons were broken and they could no longer control Riley’s emotions. Joy created a bunch of imaginary boyfriend clones, stacked them on top of each other and then pushed them forward so they created a bridge that allowed Joy to bounce off Family Island. Joy grabbed Sadness, who was flying on a cloud, and the two landed on the window of Headquarters. Disgust got Anger angry enough to use his fire to smash through the window and let Joy and Sadness inside. Sadness was able to remove the light bulb from the control panel, and Riley realized that what she was doing by running away from her loving family was wrong so she went home. Riley tearfully told her worried parents that she missed Minnesota, and Mom and Dad hugged their daughter. That family moment became a sad and happy Core Memory, so Joy gave Sadness all the happy memories and she made the family memories sad. Sadness and Joy then looked at each other lovingly. The Islands were restored, and the mind workers expanded the control panel and added a curse word library for Anger and a puberty button. The emotions agreed that Mom and Dad were cool but they couldn’t show it. In the end, 12-year-old Riley joined a new California ice hockey team and her parents went to every game, and Sadness joined Joy and the others at the mind control panel. This movie had a budget of $175 million and grossed over $858 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times ,“One of the best movies of the year,” and “an instant classic.” Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, “a flat out masterpiece.” Justin Craig, Fox News, “A definite must-see for the whole family!”

TITLE:  Kenny

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG-13 (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2006 Xenon Pictures / Lionsgate / Lightning Entertainment / Thunderbox Films / Splashdown / Madman Entertainment

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie is a fictional documentaryand the majority took place in Melbourne, Australia with parts in Nashville, Tennessee USA. It followed the day and night routine and life of Aussie Kenny Smyth at home and on his job as a plumber for the Splashdown Corporate Bathroom Rentals. The toilet rentals company in Australia rented out fancier waste units than a porta potty for higher-end events, concerts and festivals such as an ungodly transgender LGBTQ parade, a Nascar like race, extravagant wedding parties, and a Kentucky derby style horse race where richy-rich dress up and prance around as royals. At the end of his workday, Kenny emptied the toilets and repaired the doors, which were often broken apart, or had holes blown in the units from the drunken and careless crowd. Kenny wasn’t happy about people vandalizing the toilets and not wanting to shake his hand because he was a plumber. A friend of Kenny’s who was in Japan sent him pictures of unusual toilet designs and futuristic space-age crappers and spa type accessories. Kenny went on to say that the ancient Greeks used to use their poop to forecast the future. At a local military airshow, Splashdown was told to redo the whole set-up and move the toilets to the other side of the fence even though the toilets weighed tons and needed to be moved by a crane. Kenny called his boss Glenn for approval, and then Kenny’s ex-wife called to tell him that their son Jesse copied the abusive language Kenny used on his ex when they were arguing and Jesse used it on his mom. Kenny scolded Jesse for it on the phone and told his son that he could talk to his wife abusively but Jesse could not swear and abuse his mom (news flash=kids copy). Kenny hooked up with Macka, a trans wearing a thong that was one of Kenny’s old schoolmates and hugged the mentally disturbed male wearing disturbing female attire (for kids to copy and accept as normal) as Kenny and him paraded down the street all chummy. Kenny’s coworker Pat considered getting married but was hesitant because Kenny was married to his ex-wife for 14 years and it failed. Pat told Kenny that 70% of marriages didn’t work out, and Kenny gave Pat advice that he just had to say “I do,” and he couldn’t go wrong unless he was getting married and a bloke came down the aisle in a wedding dress. Kenny stopped by his ex’s house to pick up Jesse as he told his ex he would do and take his to the beach and visit Kenny’s 70-year-old dad Bill. However, Kenny’s ex-wife gave Kenny no heads-up and demanded Kenny return Jesse back by four even though it was already midday because she already made plans, which left virtually a half hour to see grandpa after factoring in the long drive there and back. In the car ride to Grandpa’s house, Jesse asked Kenny if he was going to hell because he didn’t believe in God because that is what his mom told him, and Kenny replied that he would give God his full attention when God introduced Himself to Kenny. Kenny considered his job to be a trade with a decent living and he wouldn’t be unhappy if his son followed in his footsteps. Bill didn’t want Kenny sitting on the furniture in his dirty work clothes, so he gave Kenny a gown (robe) to wear. Bill had given Kenny the name of a friend of his to call about a different job, but Kenny liked his job and didn’t want to leave it. Bill was upset that the last time he saw his grandson was years ago, and Bill was getting by with very little because Bill’s pension check that he lived on hadn’t arrived yet so Bill didn’t have much to offer to his family. At one event with loud music, Pat and Kenny found a naked man handcuffed to the toilet with a red heart and bulls-eye spray-painted on his body and chains on his ankles. Pat and Kenny woke the man up and called the police, and the man acted like he was on drugs and screamed like a madman for his friend Simon (who may have been a groomsmen in the wedding party and thought what he did was hilarious getting the groom arrested and publically humiliated before the wedding day). That was the groomsman’s bachelor night gone wrong, and he was worried that his bride Sandra would kill him. Sammy, a new Splashdown employee, complained about Pat not knowing if he was really getting married or not as Kenny cleaned out of a large tank stained with crap. Kenny crawled outside and told Sammy to give it a rest because the smell inside the tank would outlast religion. At a festival, Splashdown hired a university student who wanted to make some money. However, he couldn’t do his job and instead goofed off, and he ended up quitting on the spot because he didn’t want to stick his bare hand into the crap-filled toilet to fish out a woman’s wedding ring. Kenny got the ring out of the toilet himself and gave it back to the female who seemed more irritated at him for finding it than thankful for him for retrieving it from her own waste in the crapper. There was friction between Pat and Sammy because Sammy had only been there for two weeks and thought he knew better than Pat who had been employed by Splashdown for a longer period of time. Kenny went to the restaurant where his older brother David was having a formal birthday dinner party. David and the guests didn’t want to be seen with Kenny in his dirty work clothes. Kenny left but not before educating his sibling that it would take him hours to go home and change but David didn’t appear to care whether Kenny was present or not because the two adult brothers moved in different circles. Kenny reminisced about his nice childhood memories from when he and David were raised on their parents’ farm in Victoria. Kenny went there occasionally to visit his mom’s grave and clean it, and he called her a fridge with a head but his mom was a good, humorous woman who gave out hugs that made people know they were loved. At the car racetrack, Kenny, Pat and Sammy planned to drive their truck across the track before the last race started so they could stand next to the toilets and prevent the uncontrollable vehicle racing people in their celebrations from setting fire to the portables like they usually did. However, the Splashdown truck got stuck on the raceway in the middle of a truck race, but they got to safety. The Splashdown employees tried to stop the drunk and violent sports fans, but they still blew up the toilets and Kenny’s pant leg was set on fire in the process. Kenny fired Sammy afterward because Sammy had punched someone on the job, but then Kenny lent Sammy some money since Sammy was going to be evicted from his house. Glenn then announced that Kenny was going to fly to Nashville, Tennessee USA in Glenn’s place for the International Pumper and Cleaner Expo. Kenny had to fix the toilets onboard the plane, and that is where he met the Australian stewardess Jackie. Kenny’s cab driver at the Nashville International Airport was Bobby, who was from New York and told Kenny that Nashville was all about music and there were no ranches. At the huge Tennessee expo, the gadgets and high-tech portable bathrooms blew Kenny away. The airline employee Jackie called Kenny and they later met up at the Wildhorse saloon, and then they went to a local and popular celebrity café around Music City. Kenny’s ex-wife interrupted and called him from Australia again about their unruly son and he told her that he couldn’t control the situation in Australia from Nashville, and Kenny then told Jesse that he needed to chill and mind his mom. Kenny and Jackie made plans for a date in Nashville the following day where she would show him around Nashville shopping for his son and he would show her the expo. Kenny and Jackie connected because there were some things Kenny couldn’t understand and he thought the Americans spoke in a way that disrespected the Queen’s English. Kenny and Jackie met up with Takashi the Sushi Cowboy, the Japanese businessman from the Expo that Kenny met earlier, who was in the Nashville bar riding a mechanical bull. Takashi got thrown hard off the bull, so Kenny and Jackie helped him walk and invited Sushi Cowboy to hang out with them and sing karaoke since his Japanese expo associates left him to go to Hooters. Kenny and Jackie made arrangements to get coffee the next day before Jackie left on her flight attendant job. Jackie was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t get Kenny to come with her to her hotel room for a drink and instead Kenny left with Takashi. Kenny helped Sushi Cowboy back to his room and informed him that the Australians made the TV toilets and they were not available at the USA expo. The next morning, Kenny met with the Japanese businessmen and called Glenn in Australia to get a quote for 67 20-foot bathroom units with TVs that the Japanese wanted. Sushi Cowboy (Takashi) announced that his boss Mr. Sato was coming and he would translate for Kenny since Mr. Sato didn’t speak English, and instructed Kenny it was respectful to look at Mr. Sato in the eyes when speaking. However, Kenny then received a call that his dad, Bill, was in the hospital with a bleeding stomach ulcer. Takashi told Kenny he would do the presentation with his boss and that he would call Kenny in Australia as Kenny left for the Nashville International Airport to get home to his dad. Kenny called and canceled his plans with Jackie’s work but since he didn’t know her last name (Sheppard) and he wasn’t sure she would get his message at all and she would think he stood her up for coffee. Back in the Melbourne area, Bill was mean to the male nurse and refused to go poop in the pan, so Kenny walked his dad to the bathroom with the back of Bill’s gown open exposing his 70 year-old bare butt. Bill wanted to go home that night and not have the operation that was scheduled the following week. Bill told Kenny to call David so they could talk before Bill died. Bill was discharged from the hospital the following day after more tests, and he and Kenny and David went camping in the woods where Bill used to take his wife, and Kenny brought along an outdoor toilet that would make it more comfortable for elderly and sickened Bill. Death could tear families apart or bring them closer together, and for Kenny’s family they went their separate ways after Mom died. Bill told his sons how he wanted his funeral and made it clear that he didn’t want Uncle Terry involved like he was at their grandmother’s funeral. In the middle of the night, the trio was awoken by car honking and shouting. When they emerged from their tent, David left with his pre-arranged male chauffeur who came to pick him up. Later on, Bill told Kenny that his firstborn was a complete waste, useless, and his burnt offering. Kenny announced that Glenn was impressed with how Aussie Kenny handled the Japanese in America, so Glenn offered Kenny him a promotion to run the office in Sydney. Kenny didn’t want to be away from Bill or Jesse, but Bill told Kenny that 16-year-old Jesse in the future wouldn’t like be driven around by his dad in a crapper car. Bill encouraged Kenny to take the desk job and make something more of himself, and Kenny planned to decide after the Melbourne Cup horse event. Kenny’s ex-wife and her girlfriend Julie had plans so they dropped young Jesse off unexpectedly to be with Kenny on his busiest workday of the year, the Melbourne horse race.  Kenny wasn’t happy because he would be too busy to be with Jesse and there was over one hundred thousand people attending. Kenny put Jesse to work helping him, and two women were disgusted that Jesse was cleaning the toilets around drunken adults. Kenny left Jesse in the office with the female coworker clerk to keep him out of the public eye and safe. Kenny then tried to help Bill on the phone calm down before his surgery. Kenny dealt with bursting pipes damaging $100 shoes and downpour of heavy rain. The female clerk then told Kenny that Jesse went out to find his dad amid the 120,000 attendees and Kenny couldn’t believe the daft woman let the child leave. Kenny was on the phone with Bill again but was short to his elder dad because he had to find his missing son. Kenny took a golf cart to search the property faster, and wasn’t watching where he was going because he looked around and hit a man really hard then kept going.Kenny asked around, and a Splashdown employee had found Jesse and brought him to Kenny. Kenny gave Jesse a hug, and at the end of the day there was a huge mess around the property from the partygoers who trashed the grounds and made it look like a third-world country. The same two disgusted females from earlier that scolded Kenny about his son being there, now were completely sloshed and laughed drunkenly as the unladylike blonde hoity toity woman spread her legs and peed in front of everyone (obviously not wearing underwear underneath her dress) right there on the ground because Kenny had the toilets packed up to leave on the company truck. After a long day, after Bill’s surgery, Kenny called Bill and told his dad he loved him and would see him in the morning. A yahoo then blocked in Kenny’s truck on the street when Kenny stopped for a quick rest, and asked the man to move his car politely but he refused and went inside a café to hang out with a female. Kenny went inside the café and asked the man to again move his car, but the didn’t plan on doing that any time soon. Kenny then went back outside and sang the Australian theme song and used the hose from his truck to pump human waste into the guy’s ragtop car. The man came outside and watched in shock. The characters in this movie often took Jesus’ name in vain many times over. Unbelievably, the movie cover art listed, William Thomas, Empire, “Charming, disarming and funny as hell; the perfect antidote to any disappointing summer blockbuster.” Michael Moore, “Kenny is the funniest film I’ve seen this year.” Sydney Morning Herald, “Hilarious!” IC Network, “Total hilarity.” Herald Sun, “Four and a half stars.” Northern Territory News, “With a touch of romance, Kenny is a great Aussie comedy that will leave audiences in stitches.” Andy Klein, Los Angeles City Beat, “Incredibly likeable and funny.” Ken Russell, London Times, “Quirky, very original…something you can’t wait to tell your friends to see.” Stella Papamichael, BBC, “So funny that bowel-loosening could be a very real danger.” Santa Monica Mirror, “Kenny puts smiles on faces with incredible ease…90 minutes of pure enjoyment.” “The Citizen Kane of romantic comedies about sewage” and “Much more enjoyable than Borat and equally funny.”

REASON: This movie takes place in New York City and began with females associated with the Runway fashion magazine, published by Elias-Clarke Publications, getting dressed for work and it showed them in their bras and underwear. Andrea “Andy” Sachs went to her job interview for second assistant to Miranda Priestly, the editor in chief of Runway. Emily Charlton a native British citizen was first assistant to the editor and chief Miranda Priestly. When the staff learned that Miranda, an extremely demanding dragon lady, was coming in to work early, they scrammed and rushed to organize the office and clean themselves up for her arrival and remove things from sight that the top executive would not approve of and be fired for displaying. Emily planned on interviewing Andy but Miranda insisted on doing it personally since the last two recommendations that Emily made were a complete failure. Miranda dismissed Andy almost immediately because the no-fashion sense according to Miranda’s opinion potential job candidate didn’t read Runway, had never heard of Miranda and had no style. Andy argued that she was extremely smart and could do the job if given the chance and had a degree from Northwestern University. Miranda abruptly changed her mind and hired Andy. Andy’s days consisted of running errands, picking fashions secrets up from designers, taking calls, getting Starbucks every morning, doing things for Miranda’s tweenish twin girls, and remembering all of Miranda’s appointments. Miranda constantly put Andy down for her outfits and informed her after Andy laughed at the absurdity of choosing between two very similar belts that if Miranda hadn’t released that cerulean blue color into the world then it wouldn’t have trickled down to the minions like Andy who shopped clearance. Miranda went on to put a circus clown like outfit together and labeled it fashion. Nigel Kipling, Miranda and Emily all felt that Andy needed to change her style and look more presentable and ganged up on the one that didn’t want to conform to their ways and lose all morals, so Nigel gave Andy free shoes that the company used for modeling. He reminded her that the multibillion-dollar fashion industry was not about inner beauty and Andy should pay attention to all the fat she was eating because her clothes size 6 was really a fat 14 in the real world because size 0 was the new size 2. Andy told her boyfriend Nate Cooper, who she shared an apartment with, that Miranda wasn’t happy unless everyone was panicked, nauseous or suicidal. Despite that, Andy planned to stick it out for a year to help her future journalist career (reason she graduated from Northwestern University). Andy’s dad came from Ohio to visit her, and at dinner he gave her money to pay for her rent since Nate was still looking for a better job. While eating at the restaurant, Andy was interrupted by a call from Miranda, who was stranded in Miami after her flight was canceled because of a hurricane. Andy spent the night trying to get Miranda a flight home to New York, even though no planes were ground because of the hurricane storm. She also took calls from Miranda who kept badgering her employee to make the impossible happen and Andy considered asking the National Guard for help to bring the prestigious designer back to New York after Andy’s dad sarcastically mentioned it. The next morning, Miranda made it back to New York and scolded Andy for failing because Miranda missed her twin daughters’ Cassidy and Caroline’s Rachmaninoff piano recital. The children of Miranda went to school at Dalton and Andy already did the girls school science projects for the twins at her apartment when Miranda didn’t keep Andy slave laboring for a salary that didn’t pay the bills by working early mornings and late nights almost daily. Andy went to Nigel, who told her that the magazine was hope for gay peoplelike him who grew up going to sewing class and secretly reading Runway. Andy convinced Nigel to help her with a new wardrobe, so he gave her Dolce, Jimmy Choo, Blahnik, Gonzalez, Rodriguez and Chanel clothes. Emily and her girlfriend Serena trashed Andy but were quickly silenced when they saw Andy’s new fashionable look, which included the Chanel boots. Later on in her short-lived free personal time, Andy gave Nate and her friends Lily and Doug presents worth thousands of dollars each that Miranda discarded. Not long after, the so-called friends threw Andy’s phone around and wouldn’t let her answer Miranda, so Andy called them a-holes and left. Andy was sent to meet with James Holt and pick up some of his designs for Miranda. Christian Thompson, a writer in the fashion industry who Andy was a fan of, told Andy that she would never make it working for Miranda. Miranda didn’t like any of James’s designs in his new collection (not even a timeless springy floral dress because she thought it was too similar to a design from a previous year), and because Miranda’s opinion was the only one that mattered James was going to redesign his entire collection. Miranda then told Andy to deliver the “Book” of fashion designs to Miranda’s house that night for the first time. Since Emily’s instructions of where to put the dry-cleaning were not clear enough, Cassidy and Caroline told Andy what to do. They decided to get Andy in trouble and lied that Emily brought the Book upstairs all the time, so Andy trusted the mean twin sisters and did the same. Miranda and her second husband Stephen were upstairs arguing, and Miranda wasn’t pleased to see Andy. The next morning, bloody Emily in the office threatened to track Andy down if she got fired as a result and Emily’s fashion show trip to Paris with Miranda got ruined. Miranda then told Andy that she wanted her to get the new Harry Potter book that wasn’t even out in stores yet for the twins otherwise Andy would be fired. Andy couldn’t find the unpublished manuscript anywhere and didn’t know who to get ahold of J.K. Rowling for a copy, and when she called Christian he told her it was impossible. Andy rushed out to get a steak for Miranda as Miranda required, who then told Andy that she didn’t want the food, after Andy succeeded and had it at Miranda’s desk, because Miranda was going out with Irv Ravitz, the chairman of Elias-Clarke. Andy told Nate that she was going to quit, but right after she hung up, Christian called Andy and was able to get a copy of the unpublished Harry Potter manuscript through the designer doing the cover art and then met up with Andy at the King Cole bar at the St. Regis. Andy dropped off an unbound copy to Miranda at Runway as a backup, and revealed to her boss that she went the extra mile and had two other copies of the unpublished Harry Potter manuscript bound into books so they wouldn’t look like manuscripts and were currently on the train with the twins reading the unpublished Harry Potter books on their way to Grandma’s. Nate wasn’t happy when he found out that Andy didn’t quit her job, but he changed his mind when she showed him her new fashion lingerie that she got from work so they had sex to better his mood. Because of her poor diet and starving herself for her job, Emily came into work with a cold. Miranda had whatever Emily touched disinfected with antibacterial wipes. Miranda then announced that since Emily was viral with the plague, Andy needed to memorize all the faces and names of the guests that Emily had already spent weeks memorizing in a few hours so Andy could attend the formal benefit with Emily that evening and help their boss Miranda remember all the names of the guests she invited. Andy already had plans since it was Nate’s birthday and was late to Nate’s birthday party, so when Christian showed up as she was leaving, she turned down Christian’s invitation to go back inside the fashion party and meet with an editor for the New York Magazine because that editor liked Andy’s writings that Christian gave to the editor, and Andy had given to Christian. Andy didn’t make it to the birthday party and Nate didn’t want to talk about it later when Andy arrived back at their shared apartment. Miranda then told Andy that she decided that Andy was going to take Emily’s place on the Paris trip and threatened to blacklist Andy in New York and elsewhere using her life changing upper management contacts if Andy didn’t go to Paris with her boss. Miranda demanded that Andy call Emily at that moment to tell Emily the Paris news. However, when Andy got Emily on her cell phone as Emily hurried around the city in heavy traffic attempting to keep up with the high demanding slave duties from doing the work of multiple people, Andy didn’t even get the chance to tell Emily about Paris because distracted Emily stepped in front of a taxi cab as she crossed the street. Andy visited Emily in the hospital, and Emily told Andy that Andy should have said no to Paris and Emily was more upset that she wouldn’t get to wear all the Paris clothes after she starved herself for weeks to stay skinny, and was hardly concerned that she had her leg in a cast caused by that crazy job that had HIS real people question the sanity behind it all. At an art gallery opening, Christian told Andy that he was going to be in Paris. Christian kissed Andy on the cheek before he left, and Lily (part of the art gallery) saw and told Andy that she was no longer the real Andy. Nate then found out that Emily was going to Paris, and he told her that she became one of the Runway girls without integrity and they agreed to end their relationship. Upon arrival in Paris, Miranda was interviewed and Christian found out that Andy had no boyfriend so they made dinner arrangements. Miranda told Andy that she and Stephen were getting a divorce and he wasn’t coming to Paris, so Miranda wanted her husband’s spot replaced at her table with Snoop Dogg. Miranda was upset that her children would have to be dragged through the ugly divorce, and she didn’t want the press involved because the wicked press invaded the privacy of the family and targeted the innocent kids. Nigel then showed up in Andy’s hotel roomand had a champagne toast with Andy to celebrate his career advancement of being James Holt’s partner since Massimo Corteleoni was investing in James’s company and taking it global. It would be the first time in 18 years Nigel would be able to run his own life, and Andy told her gay friend that she was no longer a fat size 6 but now a acceptable size 4. After dinner, Christian took advantage of Andy when she had too much wine and they spent the night together and had sex. The next morning as Andy woke up late and rushed to put on her clothes, Andy found a mock-up Runway magazine cover in Christian’s bag when she accidently knocked it over. She questioned Christian, and he explained that it was what the American Runway would look like when French Jacqueline Follet was the new editor in chief. Christian went on to say that Irv was replacing Miranda with Jacqueline because she was cheaper, and Jacqueline wanted Christian to run the editorials. Andy told Christian not to call her his baby and left, and Andy tried multiple times to tell Miranda what she learned from Christian but Miranda avoided Andy and refused to listen to her employee. At James’ banquet, Nigel praised Miranda as he introduced his boss and gave her the podium (Miranda had arranged for Nigel to be the head of James Holt). Sly Miranda announced to all the attendees the latest fashion news that Jacqueline would take Nigel’s position as president of James Holt’s company so Miranda could keep her job. Andy didn’t think Miranda would pay Nigel back when the time was right and Nigel wasn’t sure either given what just happened with his career advancement down the toilet because of the dragon lady. Back in New York, Miranda later explained to Andy in their executive ride, that she had known what was going on and she had to find a suitable job for Jacqueline because nobody could take Miranda’s place. Irv agreed to Miranda’s deal after Miranda gave Irv the “list”of all the editors, writers and models who would leave Runway if Miranda was fired or left to follow Miranda wherever she went. Miranda told Andy that she was just like Miranda because she sold out “Emily” like Miranda sold out Nigel. Miranda added that everyone wanted to be her and worshipped just like them. However, Andy chose not to be part of it anymore and walked away. As reporters and photographers bombarded celebrity Miranda as she exited the vehicle, Andy threw Miranda’s ringing pager phone into the fountain and quit on the spot. Andy returned to her old New York self and own style. Andy met with Nate at Mayrose café and apologized for losing her morals in the highly crazed fashion industry and forgetting about what was really important in life. Nate announced that he was the new sous-chef at the Oak Room in Boston and he was moving there in two weeks and the two could still remain friends. Andy went to her interview at The New York Mirror, and the interviewer informed Andy that he got a fax from Miranda telling him that Andy was her biggest disappointment as an assistant but he was dumb if he didn’t hire Andy. Andy got the journalist job on heavy influencer Miranda’s word. Andy then made amends with Emily and phoned her at Runway and told the fashion addict Emily that she could have her clothes from Paris. Emily was happy about the free Paris wardrobe and rudely hung up the phone on Andy. Emily then told the new second assistant to Miranda at Runway that she had some big shoes to fill. Andy spotted Miranda on the street so Andy waved to her former boss, but Miranda ignored Andy and instead got in her luxury cab and left. This movie had a budget of $35-41 million and grossed over $326 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Rolling Stone, “Sinfully funny!” Associated Press, “Fun, flirty, spirited, sexy.” Maxim, “sensationally entertaining in every way.” Liz Smith, “a fresh, funny, fabulous masterpiece.”

TITLE:  The Adventures of Brer Rabbit

BOX OFFICE RATED: G

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2006  Universal Studios Family Productions / Universal Cartoon Studios / Universal Studios Home Entertainment

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 2

REASON: This cartoon movie began with a young girl named Janey sent outside to play by her mom after Janey’s older brother Lester wouldn’t let her watch TV and her eldest teenage half-shirt wearing sister Julie took over the computer. Janey witnessed Brer Rabbit escaping Brer Fox once again by getting the fox stuck in a well. Janey planned to help Brer Fox, but Brer Turtle took her for a walk and told her a set of stories about the talking Brer Animals. The animals used to live in the stars until one day when Sister Moon caught a cold and sent Brer Rabbit to Earth to tell Mr. Man (a human) that she was going to stay in the shadows for a few nights to regain her strength. However, Brer Rabbit gave Mr. Man the wrong idea by telling him that Sister Moon was leaving the humans to go on a vacation. Brer Rabbit and Sister Moon argued, and Brer Rabbit then decided that he was moving to Earth and he convinced the other animals to join him. Brer Fox, Sister Buzzard, Brer Gator and Brer Wolf all tried to eat Brer Rabbit, but he easily outsmarted them time and again. He got away from the wolf by distracting him and reminding him that he needed to say grace before he ate. When Brer Rabbit tried to eat peanuts from Brer Fox’s peanut patch, he got caught in a rope hanging from a tree and told Brer Bear that he was protecting the peanuts from thieves. Brer Bear wanted to have a go, which gave Brer Rabbit the chance to get out of the trap and snatch a few peanuts. All the animals then went night fishing, and Brer Rabbit noticed that Brer Fox was the one catching the most fish. The rabbit told everyone that they couldn’t catch any fish when Sister Moon was in the pond, and they tried to catch her in a net but it turned out it was just her reflection on the water. Brer Rabbit didn’t receive an invitation to a party at Brer Fox’s house, so he tried to invite himself. The partygoers pretended not to be there and agreed that nobody wanted Brer Rabbit around because he wasn’t nice to them. The animals scattered when Brer Rabbit went to the door as the devil’s son, a swamp monster. Brer Turtle tried to help Brer Rabbit by telling the other animals to forgive the rabbit and include him in their activities again. Brer Wolf refused and grabbed Brer Turtle for a snack later, and Brer Rabbit came to the rescue. He convinced Brer Wolf that there was a bull buried under the sand and the wolf had to pull it out by the rope tail. When he did, a rock that was attached to the other end of the rope and a real bull charged Brer Wolf because Brer Rabbit tied a rope around the wolf’s tail. The gospel choir then sang as Brer Rabbit helped everyone by doing good deeds for them. That made Brer Fox even madder, and he plotted to lure Brer Bear into a trap using honey and then eat the bear. Brer Rabbit figured out the sly fox’s plan and had Brer Lion set off the trap and then chase Brer Fox around with a mallet. Brer Fox captured Brer Rabbit and tied him to a pole, and the rabbit announced that the fox would be plagued with the heebie-jeebies, the creepy-crawlies and the dropsies if he ate a sad rabbit like Brer Rabbit. He asked to be taken to his laughing place so he could cheer himself up and then be eaten. Brer Fox agreed and carried Brer Rabbit day and night to the laughing tree. The fox was told to knock on the tree, and when he did the bees swarmed after him and he ran scared. Brer Rabbit later escaped from Brer Wolf by convincing him that there was treasure inside a log. The rabbit tied the Wolf up so he could squeeze into the log, and then Brer Rabbit kicked the log into the river. Brer Wolf and Brer Fox plotted together to get Brer Rabbit once and for all. They used tar to create a sticky baby doll that would catch Brer Rabbit’s attention and ensnare him. It worked and he got stuck to the doll, and he told Brer Wolf and Brer Fox to kill him any way they wanted but not to throw him in the briar patch. They did just that and thought that was the end of it, but they were foiled again because Brer Rabbit was born and raised in a briar patch and easily escaped. Janey met Brer Rabbit in person and learned his trick to “give them what they want,” and then Janey said goodbye to him and Brer Turtle and went home. Janey tricked brother Lester into thinking their mom made a special treat just for Janey, so Lester left his seat in front of the TV. Lester was disappointed to find out the treat was tuna casserole, and Janey took his spot.

TITLE:  Smokey and the Bandit

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 1977  Universal / Rastar Productions

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON. This movie began in Atlanta, Georgia where the very wealthy Big Enos Burdette and his son Little Enos went to see Bo Darville, the legendary trucker (handle Bandit) who was entering a big rig race at the fair grounds for a $5,000 prize. The millionaires offered Bandit $80,000 to go to Texarkana, Texas, pick up 400 cases of Coors beer and bring it back to Atlanta, Georgia within 28 hours. Bandit was reluctant because it had never been done before and it was bootlegging to have or transport beer anywhere east of Texas, but Bandit agreed to the criminal job. Big and Little Enos threw in extra cash for a fast car that Bandit could use as a decoy blocker to keep the police busy while the big rig full up with Coors beer got through the many states. Bandit talked his old buddy Cledus Snow (handle Snowman) into driving the truck even though Snowman’s wife Waynette didn’t want him getting involved because they had many young kids and she was beside herself with raising the wild children all alone without the help of her husband. Snowman brought his Basset hound Fred with him to ride in the 18-wheeler. Bandit bought a Firebird and drove recklessly, and the police chased after him for speeding that distracted them from Snowman’s fast moving truck. Upon arrival in Texarkana, Texas, Bandit and Snowman loaded up the Coors beer in the truck and caused a lot of damage in the process and since they were on the clock and wouldn’t collect their money, the two made a speedy getaway from the scene. Carrie, a 28-year-old bride and dancerwho once performed on Broadway, ran away from her marriage to Buford T. Justice Jr., the son of Texas sheriff Buford T. Justice (handle Smokey Bear), and she was on the side of the road trying to flag someone dressed in her wedding gown because her getaway car broke down. Bandit picked Carrie up and brought her along for the ride, and he told her to stop chain-smoking because it was bad for her health. Senior sheriff Buford felt humiliated that his son’s bride got cold feet, and he blamed it on communism and believed that Carrie was a sinner who danced with fags. Smokey and Junior confronted a group of three young men trying to vandalize Carrie’s car, and they were intimidated by Smokey and tipped him off that Carrie left in a black Trans Am with a Confederate license plate. Bandit escaped from a police officer only to be tailed by Smokey and Junior in Arkansas. Bandit gave Carrie the name Frog as a CB trucker’s radio handle. Arkansas Sheriff George Branford told Texas Sheriff Buford that he had no jurisdiction outside of Texas and to give up his pursuit of Bandit, but Sheriff Buford refused. Bandit went through the Arkansas police roadblock, so the police and the Justices gave chase. Bandit jumped over a bridge with his car while the Arkansas police cars fell into the water. Bandit dropped Carrie (Frog) off at the truck stop to get a bus home, and then Bandit went and had a bite. Sheriff Buford (Smokey Bear) came in and didn’t know whom Bandit was, so Bandit started a conversation with Sheriff Buford and learned that Smokey thought Bandit was worse than a bank robber because he kidnapped Frog and attempted to murder over 20 police officers. Bandit paid for Sheriff Buford’s (Smokey Bear) lunch meal as a kind gesture and to throw the officer of the law off his trail, and then he discovered that Carrie (Frog) was behind the wheel of the Firebird because she decided that she wanted to be with Bandit. Sheriff Buford and Junior chased after them, and Carrie kept driving because she couldn’t switch seats with Bandit while in hot pursuit. Carrie crashed through a kids’ school football field during a game and just barely made it out without hurting anyone. Sheriff Buford and Junior drove around the field and not through it as the criminals did to keep the children safe. Bandit and Carrie then caught back up with Snowman and his bigrig, and they headed off to Mississippi and Alabama. Sheriff Buford gave the local state police a heads-up to follow Bandit when he came around. A fellow trucker that supported Bandit and his criminal ways went by and took the door off Sheriff Buford’s car, which made the officer even angrier. Sheriff Buford didn’t believe his senseless son could have come from his loins, and the officer planned to punch Junior’s mom in the mouth later. Other truckers told Bandit and Snowman on the CB radios which way to go so they could avoid the police. Bandit and Carrie stopped off in the woods for a break, where they hung out and talked. Bandit told Carrie the only time he took off his hat was for sex. Carrie told him to take it off so Bandit took off his hat and kissed Carrie which no doubt that led to them having sex in the woods before they got back on the road again. Carrie told Bandit that her heaviest relationship was with an acid-rock singer named Robert Crumly, which lasted for eight and a half days until Carrie came home and found creepy Robert in the shower with a girl and her mom. Snowman took a break too and stopped at Lamar’s for some food and called his wife, Waynette. A group of men claimed that Fred bit them and they wanted to roast the dog and eat him. Snowman threw the first punch, and that led to a bar fight where Snowman got beat up and thrown outside. As he left the rural country dive, Snowman drove the 18-wheeler truck over the mean spirited bikers motorcycles to flatten them. Sheriff Buford was pulled over by a state trooper, who swore and told Sheriff Buford not to drive his battered car in his state on his highway. Sheriff Buford bowed up and got in the trooper’s face and shouted that he had 30 years of law enforcement experience and the car was evidence to convict Bandit. The groveling trooper apologized and let Sheriff Buford continue, and Sheriff Buford mouthed to the trooper to f**k off as he left. The Alabama police chased Bandit, Carrie and Snowman, and other truckers on the roadway helped them out by lining up in a convoy and blocked the officers. Sheriff Buford arrested a man he thought was Bandit who was paying prostitutes in a camper alongside the road. However, another officer appeared and cleared up the confusion that the man was his police captain so things were settled in secret on the spot so none of the officers were questioned. The trio crossed over into Georgia, where a motorcycle officer pulled Snowman over because he was speeding. Bandit came back to help his partner in crime by driving recklessly to get the motor officer’s attention away from the bigrig hauling illegal goods. Carrie gave the motor officer her middle finger while Bandit sped off, so the motor officer got on his bike and went after Bonnie and Clyde instead so they wouldn’t kill anyone. Bandit drove off-road, and the motorcycle officer fell into a pond. Two police cars picked up the pursuit, and the first one flipped down a hill while the other landed on the back of a semi after the officer swerved to avoid hitting Bandit on the highway. Hot Pants Hilliard called in on the CB and told Bandit that she would get into the crime game too and have her people from the local diner block the police cars in and turn in front of them to slow them down. The Trans Am and 18-wheeler were then chased by more police cars and a helicopter, and with four miles to go Bandit was going to give it up and quit. Snowman insisted that they couldn’t and got his truck in front of Bandit and Carrie. The trio made it to the fairgrounds and dropped the illegal Coors beer from Texas off, and as quick as they arrived Big and Little Enos offered Bandit and his gang double or nothing to go to Boston and bring back some clam chowder in 18 hours. Carrie (Frog) took the deal and they all jumped in a new topless red ragtop Cadillac car and were off. Bandit stopped the car as the law officers arrived on scene a few feet away from Sheriff Buford outside the fair grounds. Bandit used the CB in the car and congratulated Sheriff Smokey for his efforts on the radio, and then Bandit revealed that they were sitting right next to Sheriff Buford and were off to Boston for some clam chowder. Carrie told Junior there were no hard feelings, and Sheriff Buford refused to give up and sped off after the trio without waiting for Junior. Many of the questionable characters in this movie swore constantly and took Jesus’ name in vain. Disturbingly (as it was full of law-breaking gaslighter criminals ganging together to hate on and endanger the lives of police officers for ungodly entertainment),this movie had a budget of $4.3 million and grossed $300 million at the box office.

TITLE:  Sky High

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 2005  Walt Disney Pictures / Gunn Films / Buena Vista Pictures Distribution

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie takes place in the town of Maxville, where superheroes Commander (super-strength and invincibility) and Jetstream (super-sonic flight) posed as real estate agents named Steve and Josie Stronghold. Their 14-year-old son Will (William Theodore) was expected to carry on the family name legacy but he hadn’t discovered his superpowers yet. Will and his best friend Layla Williams went to their first day of Sky High, a school for the kids of superheroes. The school bus transformed into a flying bus, and the bus driver Ron Wilson took the new students to Sky High, the secret school in the sky. Tommy Boomowski (Coach Boomer or “Sonic Boom”) evaluated the freshmen’s powers during Power Placement to decide (in a crude way and unfair) who would be heroes and who would be sidekicks. Tommy demoted anyone with unimpressive or mostly useless powers to being sidekicks. Layla was one of them because she refused to show her powers of commanding flowers and fruits to do things. Gwen (Gwendolyn) Grayson was a senior and the student body president, and Will fell in love with her at first sight. Coach Boomer was mad when he found out that Will had no powers because everyone expected greatness from him (because of his parents). Nurse Spex told Will that there was no telling when his powers would appear, if ever because there were rare cases like Ron’s where the child of two superhero parents never received powers and they were completely ordinary. Steve showed Will the secret sanctum room in the house and told his son never to reveal it to anyone. Will said nothing about school because his dad was so convinced that Will was going to save the world someday. The next day at school in hero support class, the sidekicks learned what to do so they would get picked by the heroes on graduation day. Their adult hero support teacher Mr. Boy (“All-American Boy” and Commander’s former sidekick) taught the class. When Will finally told his dad that he was a sidekick, Steve thought it was a power trip for Coach Boomer and was going to call the school. Will argued that he was proud to be a sidekick, and Josie told Steve that it wasn’t the end of the world and the family would still be the Stronghold Three. Warren Peace was a student with fire powers. His mom was a hero but his dad was the villain Baron Battle, who was serving four life sentences in jail after Commander defeated him. Lash and Speed, the school bullies, tripped Will onto Warren’s table so he started a fight with Will (since he already didn’t like Will for being Commander’s son). Warren hurled fireballs at Will, and in the process Will discovered that he had super-strength. Principal Powers put Warren and Will in the Detention Room. When Will came home, his parents were thrilled about his powers. Will was transferred to the Hero class, but he was reluctant about leaving his sidekick friends (Layla, Ethan, Magenta and Zach). Will was paired up with Gwen, who was a Technopath and had the power to control technology with her mind. She did Will’s project for him in Professor Medulla’s science class but then she agreed to be Will’s private tutor. The Hero kids refused to let Will’s friends sit at their table and called them losers. Will arranged to have dinner with Layla at the Paper Lantern Chinese restaurant that night. Will stopped Lash and Speed from stuffing Zach and Ethan in the school lockers and sticking their heads in the toilets. They all made a deal that Lash and Speed would stop bullying the sidekicks if Will won Save the Citizen that the two bullies were the champions of. The object was for heroes and villains to fight each other and save a “citizen” from death within three minutes. Will and Warren were paired up as the heroes, and they were able to beat Speed and Lash. Gwen joined the Strongholds for dinner, and since Gwen was the head of the children’s homecoming committee she asked Steve and Josie to be the guests of honor at the dance and receive the award for Heroes of the Year and they agreed. Warren worked at the Paper Lantern and joined Layla, and he recognized that she was in love with Will and suggested that she tell him her feelings. Will walked Gwen home, and he agreed to be her date for homecoming at school. The next day, Will realized that he forgot about dinner with Layla but she told him it was no big deal. Layla was going to ask him to homecoming, but before she could he announced that he was going with Gwen. Layla then convinced Warren to be her homecoming date at school, and they hung out and pretended to like each other whenever Will was around. Gwen invited the homecoming committee over to Will’s house and it turned into a party the night before the school’s date dance for teens since Will’s parents were gone. Will decided to show Gwen the secret sanctum, where they kissed. Gwen told Will that his sidekick friends would feel awkward at the hero party if he invited them. Layla went to check the party out, and mean girl Gwen told Layla that Will wasn’t interested in her and didn’t invite her. Layla was upset and left, and then Will broke it off with fake Gwen and Gwen couldn’t believe she was dumped because Gwen believed herself to be superior to all. Steve and Josie (parents) then came home and kicked everyone out. They told Will that he had to go to homecoming since Gwen honored them with an award and so they could introduce themselves as the Stronghold Three, but Will refused. Will left Layla many messages, but she didn’t answer them. He waited for Layla at the Chinese Paper Lantern, where Warren revealed that he and Layla were only going to homecoming to make Will jealous. At the homecoming school dance, Gwen was supposed to give Commander and Jetstream their award. However, wicked Gwen had other plans and whipped out her mega-gun called the Pacifier, which was stolen out of the Stronghold’s secret sanctum by her sidekick Stitches when Gwen was there with Will. Gwen turned into the villain Royal Pain and used a male voice changer, which was why Commander didn’t know that Royal Pain was a girl when they last fought. Royal Pain used the Pacifier to turn Commander, Jetstream, Principal Powers and everyone else into babies. Meanwhile, Will looked in the yearbook at his house from his dad’s senior year and discovered that Sue Tenny was Gwen. Bus driver school employee Ron dropped Will off at the school, where it was revealed that Penny Lent (who made duplicates of herself to be members of the cheerleading team), Lash and Speed were in on it with Gwen Royal Pain. They went after the sidekicks, who outsmarted them. Gwen explained that Sue Tenny was intentionally put with the sidekicks as a spybecause everyone thought she was a science geek and didn’t know what a Technopath was. Evil Gwen became Royal Pain and plotted to destroy Sky High and start a Supervillain Academy to train kids to be villains. Everyone thought that Gwen was Sue Royal Pain’s daughter, but Gwen was in fact Royal Pain. When she and Commander battled, Royal Pain was turned into a baby and became Gwen who was then raised by Stitches as his daughter. Will was disgusted that he kissed an old lady, and he and Gwen Royal Pain fought. Will was kicked out the window and tumbled to the Earth below, but then he discovered that he could fly and he had the powers of both his parents. Layla used her powers to stop the cheerleader clones, and they revealed that Royal Pain sabotaged the antigravity device keeping the school in the sky and it would fall in ten minutes. Will’s friend Magenta used her power of shapeshifting into a guinea pig to go through a vent and try to cut the wires on a generator to stop the school from falling. Stitches loaded all of the babies onto the bus, but Ron stopped Stitches because Ron was the only one authorized at school to transport the Heroes and Sidekicks students and faculty. Magenta was unable to cut the wires and the school started falling, and Will used his super strength to stop it before it crashed onto the new house of Mr. and Mrs. Timmerman. The babies were taken to the Mad Science Lab at school, where Professor Medulla used the Pacifier to turn them back into the true form where they were naked and had to wear towels until they found their clothes. Medulla then destroyed the Pacifier. Will told his parents that the party and homecoming dance were set-ups and he broke the rule by bringing nutty Gwen to the sanctum. Commander and Jetstream told Will that it was okay because their son saved the day. They gave the award trophy to the sidekicks, who were in fact heroes. Madwoman Gwen and the other villains were put in the Detention Room and then jail. The whole school danced and celebrated, and teens Will and Layla kissed. Ron fell into a vat of toxic waste and became a superhero, and he worked for the mayor protecting the city from giant robots. This movie had a budget of $35 million and grossed over $86 million at the box office. REASON: This movie began with five Strategic Artificially Intelligent Nuclear Transport (SAINT) robots, each worth $11 million, being created at the Nova Laboratories in Damon, Washington, for warfare/bombing the enemy purposes. Dr. Howard Warner, the president of Nova Robotics, had the SAINTs demonstrate to a crowd their ability to use lasers to explode military vehicles, such as tanks and army jeeps. The robots even mixed a cocktail for Howard, and then the demonstration was cut short by a thunderstorm. The female Senator Mills wanted to meet Newton Crosby, the PhD who designed the robots, before she gave her approval. Robot Number Five was hooked up to a machine when lightning struck it, and the robot short-circuited. While the other four prototypes were shown off to the public, Number Five stowed away out of the facility in the back of a truck and then started walking alongside the road. The robot malfunctioned and did not respond to computer commands, but Nova was able to locate it with a tracking device so Howard sent Captain Skroder and his security out to find Number Five but not destroy it. Newton and his assistant Ben Jhaveri went out to find the robot and took Number One with them as protection in case Number Five, armed with lasers, went berserk. Number Five hitched a ride on Stephanie Speck’s Snack Shack van to her house in Oregon. Stephanie was an animal lover and kept different species in her house. After arriving home, she found her abusive ex-boyfriend Frank trying to take her dog away to Quinn’s Medical Research to get cash for the animal. Stephanie beat on Frank’s shiny red Trans Am, so he shoved her around and then left. Stephanie later found Number Five in her van, and she thought he was an alien from another planet. He announced that he was malfunctioning and he needed input, so Stephanie brought him to her house and gave him dictionaries to read. Number Five read all of them within minutes and stored the information, which him made more intelligent and broadened his vocabulary. The alien bot was fascinated with the TV and watched it all night. Stephanie was angry when she found out that Number Five was a robot from Nova and not an alien, so she immediately called them about it and was told that the robot was worth a few hundred dollars (instead of the robot’s real multi million dollar value). Stephanie told Number Five that Nova was coming to get him and then disassemble him to see what the problem was. Number Five accidentally squashed a grasshopper, and Stephanie explained that it was dead and wasn’t coming back. Number Five associated disassembly with death, so he freaked out and sped off in Stephanie’s van because he was afraid of dying at the hands of Nova. Stephanie jumped on the back of the van and got inside, and Number Five caused chaos in town with reckless driving. Stephanie told Number Five that if they crashed he would be disassembled, so the robot stopped the van right before it went off a cliff. Newton and Ben used a tracking device to find Number Five and caught up with the robot.Stephanie tried to tell them that Number Five robot was alive and intelligent, and they didn’t believe her until they saw it for themselves. Nova security then appeared and shot at Number Five, and the robot fired lasers back at them. Newton shut the robot off, and Stephanie was upset as Number Five was taken away in the back of a truck. She told Newton to call her and give her updates about the robot. Number Five turned his bot self back on and commandeered the truck, and Ben and the driver jumped out and ran scared. Number Five threw the transmitter that was being used to track him into the back of another truck, and then the robot blasted “WHO’s Johnny,” on the radio. Nova security held up the elderly couple driving the truck with the transmitter and pointed guns at them. The paparazzi news showed up at Stephanie’s doorstep, harassing, and the crazy reporters wanted to know if robot Number Five molested Stephanie. Frank saw the news report and planned to go find the robot and cash in on the $25,000 reward. Number Five barged into Stephanie’s bathroom space as she was taking a bath, and she was shocked that he found his way back to her house so she agreed to let the robot (alien) stay. Newton and Ben planned to leave Nova to go find Number Five, and Howard tried to stop them by pulling a gun on them but he was just bluffing and they were able to leave without too much interference from him. Number Five learned some moves from the TV and danced with Stephanie, and the robot told her that he wanted to stay with her. Number Five tried to cook breakfast for Stephanie the next morning, but failed and burned the food, almost started a fire and made a huge mess. Frank then appeared with a gun and forced his way into the house, and he announced that he wanted to take Number Five to Nova so the robot made a run for it. Number Five was able to disassemble Frank’s car within seconds, so Frank shot at the robot and the robot deflected the bullets. Frank hit Number Five with a pipe, so the robot used his lasers to zap Frank’s shoes and belt buckle so his pants fell down. Frank ran off and told Stephanie that he was going to call Nova and the police. Stephanie left in her van with Number Five and they got lost. Howard called Newton and informed him that Stephanie wanted to meet him at the Black Lion Inn. Howard didn’t believe that Number Five couldn’t really be alive, but Stephanie insisted that he was. She told Howard that she would give him Number Five if he promised not to experiment on or disassemble the robot. Howard promised, but then Skroder appeared in disguise and Stephanie thought Newton was a liar and a traitor. Number Five was outside, and the other Nova robots shot their lasers at Number Five. However, Number Five succeeded in programming them to be the Three Stooges. Stephanie and Number Five left, and the robot zapped a tree that fell and blocked the path of the Nova security vehicles that chased after them. Number Five then hijacked Newton’s van. Stephanie, Newton and Number Five camped out in the wilderness, where Newton discovered that Number Five really was intelligent and Newton was able to prove that the robot was alive because the robot laughed. Stephanie was happy and kissed robot Number Five and Newton. Nova then caught up with the trio and ordered Newton and Stephanie to surrender Number Five to them. The robot jumped out of the back of the van and made a run for it, so the soldiers shot at him out of a helicopter. They succeeded in hitting Number Five and blowing the robot up, and Stephanie and Newton were upset and left. Since Newton lost his job, he considered going to Montana to live on the 40 acres that his dad left for him. Number Five then revealed that he was in the back of the van and the robot that Nova blew up was a replica he made of Number Five from spare parts. The robot agreed that they all go to Montana, and Number Five would get a new name and decided to call himself Johnny Five. The characters in this movie swore often and took Jesus’ name in vain, and the robot learned from the humans and did the same. This movie had a budget of $15 million and grossed over $40 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Washington Post, “A cockles-of-your-heart-warming comedy…not since R2D2 has a mechanical matinee idol been so positively huggable.”

TITLE:  That Darn Cat!

BOX OFFICE RATED: G (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 1965 Walt Disney Productions / Buena Vista Distribution

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie began with a Siamese cat named D.C. (Darn Cat) outsmarting a dog and stealing food from all over the neighborhood on his nightly round. A man named Iggy bought salmon and DC followed him to the apartment where Iggy and his partner in crime Dan were hiding out after they robbed the North Valley bank. They stole $160,000 and kidnapped Margaret Miller the bank teller, who they were now holding hostage and keeping an eye on. Iggy went out and placed false leads around the city to throw the police off their trail and make them think the robbers left when the criminals were living in an apartment near the bank. Dan and Iggy agreed that they would “get rid” of Margaret later. DC scratched at the door and was let inside, and Margaret scratched part of the word “Help,” onto the back of her wristwatch and put it around DC’s neck as a collar before turning him loose. DC belonged to the Randall family, and Mr. and Mrs. Randall left behind their teenage daughter Patricia (Patti) under the care of her adult older sister Ingrid. Mrs. MacDougall, the nosy neighbor, spied on Patricia and her boyfriend Canoe Henderson and wasn’t happy that the opposite sex were alone together with the teen’s parents gone. Gregory Benson drove Ingrid to and from work every day, and he was angry when he discovered that DC stole the duck that he spent all day trying to catch for dinner. Gregory threatened to hurt DC if it happened again because he felt the cat was a menace to the neighborhood. Patti found the watch and thought that it was a cry for help from Margaret, but Ingrid didn’t believe Patti and told her not to go to the police. Patti instead went to the FBI and told agent Zeke Kelso her suspicions. Zeke took it to his FBI supervisor Mr. Newton, who instructed him to do surveillance and follow DC in hopes the cat would return to where he got the watch even though agent Zeke argued that he was allergic to cats. Agent Zeke told Patti not to tell anyone what was going on for undercover reasons, and then he set up base of operation in Ingrid’s room. FBI Zeke tried to take pictures and pawprint samples from DC, but the cat was uncooperative and got ink everywhere. Patti kept Canoe out of the house by telling him that she was sick. The other FBI agents (Spires, Graham, Kelly and Cahill) couldn’t believe that they were being instructed to keep an eye on a cat informant. They followed DC as he went out on the town that night, and he went to the robbers’ apartment but left when Dan spotted Margaret looking out the window and he shut the light off (since Margaret could walk free in the rented apartment as long as she was on her best behavior). Mrs. MacDougall had seen Agent Zeke go into the house with Patti earlier, so she tried to use her husband’s hearing aid attached to a fishing pole to listen in on their conversation at the window. Mr. MacDougall caught his wife before she could hear anything. DC led the agents on a wild cat chase until they ended up back at the Randall house. Ingrid arrived back and was mad about all the men in the room so she told Patti to get them out. The next morning, Mrs. MacDougall told Gregory that there was a man in Ingrid’s room the previous night. Mr. Newton was going to pull the plug on the operation because it was a failure, but Zeke convinced his boss to give him one chance to do things himself since they had too many agents before and were crowding DC. Zeke put a collar on catty DC with a microphone and transmitter attached to it so Zeke could hear things going on around DC and find the cat wherever he was. Ingrid had no faith in the gadgets, so Patti locked her in the closet with a spare transmitter so agent Zeke could find Ingrid. Agent Zeke told Patti to go to the drive-in movie theater with Canoe so he wouldn’t get suspicious and start nosing around. Zeke was going to go after DC as he left the house, but Ingrid was suffocating in the closet so Zeke got her out. Agent Zeke followed DC to the drive-in, where he told the manager that he was the health inspector. The manager was mad when DC ran in front of the movie screen, so he and the concessioners chased after the cat and ended up spilling food all over the manager. Canoe knew Patti was acting strange because there was a blue car parked outside her house and she suddenly wanted to watch surfing movies which she said before were boring. DC tried to go after Gregory’s pigeons, so he shot at the cat. Zeke thought Gregory was one of the robbers, but Patti and Ingrid informed Zeke that it was Gregory. Gregory stormed upstairs with his gun searching for DC, and he found the cat and agent Zeke in the closet. Zeke pretended he was a repairman fixing the wiring, and Gregory didn’t believe Zeke was who he said he was and told Ingrid that he was no longer her car pool ride for work. Agent Zeke gave up the case and left. The next day, teen Patti decided to find evidence herself, and teen Canoe followed her as she went to Mr. Hofstedder’s jewelry store. Canoe refused to get involved, but Patti called agent Zeke and told him that she was Mr. Hofstedder’s niece Daphne. She lied and told agent Zeke that Margaret came into the shop a while before and bought a band for her watch, and Patti gave the exact description of the wristwatch. Mr. Newton called Mr. Hofstedder back at the jewelry store to confirm the story, and Patti had convinced Mr. Hofstedder to lie for her and go along with her fake story so the storeowner did but was very nervous about lying to the FBI. Mr. Newton agreed to give the cat thing another go with Agent Zeke since the FBI boss had just verified the lead on the phone with Mr. Hofstedder at his jewelry store. Meanwhile, Dan and Iggy plotted how to quietly get rid of Margaret. Margaret set a fire in the kitchen hoping the fire department would have to be called, but Dan put the fire out quickly. Mrs. Tabin the landlady suspected that there was a third person living in the apartment, and Iggy lied that it was Dan’s sick mom. Mrs. Tabin smelled the smoke and came to investigate since each extra tenant was $20, but Dan and Iggy kept the landlady from snooping around too much. The crooks were worried when they learned that Mrs. Tabin’s sister was the matron of a state prison and was coming for a visit. Mr. Newton and the agents returned to Ingrid’s room, and Canoe called Patti to see what she was up to since the blue car was still out front. She lied that she had a headache, but Canoe wasn’t buying it and headed over to investigate. Patti wanted to go along with DC, and since the agents told her it was too dangerous she snuck out of the house after she revealed that she knew what happened with the Hofstedders. Mrs. MacDougall insisted on going next door to check things out, and her husband let her go but called the police on his wife. He told them there was a male prowler outside dressed like an old woman (Mrs. MacDougall), so the police quickly apprehended Mrs. MacDougall and really did believe that she was a man. Canoe followed Patti and ended up falling into a pool while agent Zeke followed DC, who went into the robbers’ apartment. Agent Zeke overheard on the collar transmitter Dan and Iggy’s plans to kill Margaret and put her in the back of a laundry truck. Zeke told Mr. Newton but refused to wait for backup. Dan and Iggy figured out that DC was bugged and destroyed the collar, and then Zeke went to their door and told Dan that DC was his wife’s missing cat. Dan didn’t believe any of Zeke’s lies even when Patti overheard and came to the door to back him up pretending to be Zeke’s very young wife (who said she was in love with Zeke so age didn’t matter after her teen age was questioned by the criminal men). Dan pulled a gun on the two and threatened to take Patti hostage so teenage Patti threw DC at Dan and his gun. That gave agent Zeke the chance to fight Dan, and Patti tried to stop Iggy from running with the money. Iggy tripped over DC and the case of money went everywhere. Iggy and Dan were arrested, and DC the hero cat was on the front page of the newspaper the next morning. Canoe was in the paper too because the fire department had to rescue him after being trapped under a garage door for eight hours. Gregory came to the door trying to act like nothing happened and he wanted to take Ingrid to work, but agent Zeke was Ingrid’s new ride. Canoe admitted to Patti that he followed her around because he was jealous of who she was hanging out with. The police dropped Mrs. MacDougall off at her house, and she threatened to murder her husband so he snuck out back. DC went off with a female cat (who he had his eye on) along with her new kittens. Hopefully Margaret was rescued in the process of all of that since the last scene showed her tied to a chair with a mask over her face in the criminal apartment before the FBI showed up.

TITLE:  Patch Adams

BOX OFFICE RATED: PG-13 (This is not suitable for GOD’s children.)

PRODUCTION YEAR: 1998  Universal Pictures / Blue Wolf Productions / Bungalow 78 Productions / Farrell/Minoff Production

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie is based on a true story and was released on Christmas Day. It began with Hunter Adams committing himself to the psychiatric ward (with Nurse Jane as the head nurse) at the Fairfax Hospital in 1969 because he was suicidal and took prescription drugs. Hunter was locked into a shared room with a roommate named Rudy, and Rudy had a breakdown screaming that the squirrels were in the room attacking him. Hunter called for help, and the staff calmed Rudy down by injecting him in the butt. Hunter had a session with Dr. Prack and he told the ungodly shrink that his dad was a soldier and died when Hunter was nine. Hunter knew that Dr. Prack wasn’t listening, so he mentioned Uranus and using his penis as a pogo stick and Dr. Prack praised him. In the group therapy session, Hunter got the other patients laughing about patient Beany and Dr. Prack was angry and the doc left the room to have the wards return the so called disorderly patients to their assigned rooms. Hunter met Arthur Mendelson, the self-committed genius from Brand Beaton Industries, and Arthur gave Hunter the nickname “Patch” after Hunter patched up Arthur’s leaking coffee cup. That night, Rudy wouldn’t go to the bathroom because of the squirrels so Patch made a game and imaginary shot all the squirrels so Rudy made it to the bathroom inside their hospital room and didn’t have an accident in his bed and wouldn’t keep his roommate up at all hours of the night. A staff member walked by and saw them overturning the furniture but ignored the patients inside the room. The next morning, Patch told Dr. Prack that he wanted to leave so he could help people since Dr. Prack was failing miserably. Dr. Prack threatened to write in his report that Patch was leaving against medical advice but Patch left anyway since Patch voluntarily came to the hospital and didn’t require authorization from anyone to be discharged. Two years later, Patch was at the Virginia Medical University studying to become a doctor. His roommate was Mitch Vroman from Georgetown University. Patch tried to introduce himself to Carin Fisher, a student who told him to pick either lesbian, ball-buster, airhead or leech to address her by because she was there to study and not date or flirt. Patch and future pediatrician Truman Schiff, a fellow student, went to an expo at the Meatpacker’s Association. Patch gave a speech and was given a white coat, which gave him an idea. He and Truman wore white coats and went to the hospital to join Dr. Eaton’s group of third-year students who got to interact with the patients and do diagnoses. Dr. Eaton was surprised that Patch asked the name of the patient suffering from leg ulcers, and she was Marjorie. Truman bailed, but Patch stuck around and found himself in the children’s ward. He used medical instruments and got the kids laughing and jumping around on their beds, and he hurried out when the nurse caught him. Dean Walcott, the head staff at the hospital that was also a professor at the medical school, told Patch to stop messing around because the way the doctors were trained was tried and true. In the medical study group, Patch complained about the billions of dollars that went to lawyers in malpractice suits versus the patients. Carin joined them, but she stormed out because Patch’s questions opposed the current method of doctoring and he wanted to be friendly with patients. Patch followed Carin out of the study session and told Carin that Walt Whitman was a homosexual and a nurse in the Civil War. Patch continued pestering Carin and sneaking back into the hospital to make the children and nurses laugh. The hospital staff, the cancer children and parents were glad that Patch was entertaining the kids. Carin passed her test with 79 points while Patch got 98, and he hardly studied. Patch convinced Truman and Carin to help him make the dreams of the elderly patients a reality, and the nurses, led by Joletta, covered for them and told the other staffers not to disturb Patch who was not supposed to be in the hospital at all. One man wanted a safari hunt so they played with balloon animals as the patient shot them with a fake gun, and the man’s roommate, Aggie Kennedy, wanted to be in a pool full of noodles to remind her of her mom. Carin admitted that she had fun, and Patch told her that he had a crush on her. The nurses warned Patch that Bill was a moody pancreatic cancer patient and to avoid him, but they finally let Patch visit Bill. Patch sang to Bill about bluebirds, but when he got close to Bill, Bill grabbed Patch and threw him against the wall and the nurses laughed. Patch informed Walcott that the American Medical Journal stated that laughter had a good effect on the body and mind and helped people forget about their pain. Walcott told Patch that patients needed a doctor and not a friend or entertainment. Walcott told Patch to never come back to the hospital and questioned his high scores on the test because he never studied and his classmates thought he might be cheating. Patch went back to his dorm room and confronted Mitch, who didn’t believe that Patch could have a higher score than Mitch because he didn’t study. Mitch explained that he came from a family of doctors and wanted to study hard to do the same, and he admitted that he might be a prick, but when the time came with a life and death situation he would want a prick helping him and not a kindergarten teacher like Patch who thought it was all about humor. Patch told Mitch that Mitch had a mindset that he needed to be a prick to be successful and Patch said that wasn’t true. Patch dressed like an angel and walked down the hospital corridor with the staffers gasping and again went to see Bill, and Patch read about death in the dictionary and debated with Bill about it, which made Bill eventually laugh. Walcott announced that there would be a seminar for the Fellowship of the American College of Gynecologists, and he picked Patch to lead and told him to clean the auditorium. Patch decided to make it a joke and put up a set of spread legs in hospital stirrups outside the front door with a sign “Welcome Gynos, At Your Cervix.” That made the gynecologists laugh because they had to enter the building through the vagina door, but Walcott called Patch to his office and told him that he was dismissed from the school because of the mockery he made of their distinguished guests and his unconventional method of treating a patient like a fellow human being. Walcott ranted about how doctors were superior to patients, and he was irritated even more when Patch blurred his eyes and thought of Arthur. Patch went to the head Dean J.P. Anderson, who stated that he would never take the word of a student over that of his staffer Walcott. However, Anderson’s source said that Patch’s ways improved the quality of life for the patients so they were happier and less medicated. Anderson let Patch stay at the school and told him to stay away from Walcott. Patch and the others threw a surprise birthday party for Carin, and she was shocked when she came over to study in the dorm room and found a room filled with balloons. Mitch came and kicked everyone out. Patch later told Carin that he went to the mental ward after he tried to kill himself, and it was the patients who helped him figure things out and not the doctors. Carin gave Patch a kiss because nobody had done anything so thoughtful for her as he did, and Patch was ecstatic as he told her goodnight at her doorstep. Patch snuck back into the hospital as Bill was dying. He sang Bill the song that Bill asked him to do as he took his last breath about blue skies and bluebirds, and then Bill passed away. As Patch exited the hospital, there was a Spanish-speaking woman in hysterics in the lobby because she just lost her husband and son to a drunk driver and she wasn’t allowed to see her severely injured daughter in trauma until she filled out the forms which she couldn’t do. At the University Diner, Patch, Truman and the customers discussed high medical costs, huge doctor visit bills, not being able to afford medication, and hospitals turning people away because they didn’t have insurance. Patch got an idea and went to see Carin late at night. They came up with ideas for the first fun hospital in the world, where they would use humor to heal pain and suffering and doctors and patients would be equal. Carin refused to help Patch because she wanted to be a real doctor, and he knew that something awful had happened to Carin but she wouldn’t say what. In his third year, Patch accompanied Dr. Eaton on his rounds. Dr. Eaton agreed with Patch’s ideals and said he would be supportive if Patch could figure out how to change things. Dr. Eaton was now calling the patients by their names, and Patch was reminded of Arthur again when Dr. Eaton held up four fingers. Patch drove Carin to 105 acres of land in West Virginia and announced that he wanted to use it to start the Gesundheit Institute. The land and the cabin all belonged to Arthur, who agreed to let them borrow it and live in it until they could pay him. Patch immediately started a free clinic in the small house on the land, and he, Carin and many others worked on remodeling the cabin and repainting it. Carin told Patch that she hated men and wanted nothing to do with them because many of the males in her young life sexually abused her body in childhood. Everything changed for Carin when she met Patch because he helped people, taught her to trust others, and wasn’t like the other men. Carin told Patch that she loved him and the two kissed passionately. When the clinic ran out of supplies, Patch snuck into the hospital as a doctor with Truman under a sheet pretending to be a corpse. The nurses did nothing as Patch and Truman stole supplies from the hospital room to replenish their stock at their free clinic headquarters. Carin got a message from Larry Silver, who had just stopped by the free clinic that he needed help at his home and wanted to talk to someone. Carin had told Patch earlier that Larry gave her the creeps and she didn’t want to be around him. Carin decided to trust like Patch did and went to visit Larry at his large mansion alone. She found him playing the grand piano, and he explained that the house belonged to his dad who died (didn’t say how dad died) two years before so it was his now (and since then Larry had been in the E.R. for self-mutilation and mental illness). Patch was called to Dean Anderson’s office the next day and was afraid that he got caught for stealing from the hospital supplies. Anderson revealed that Larry murdered Carin the night before. Larry shot Carin and then shot himself (Larry may have raped Carin too). Patch was very upset and cried over Carin’s casket at the funeral. Patch packed up his things and wanted to shut down the clinic, and Truman told him that they couldn’t give up. Patch explained that Carin knew there was something dangerous about Larry but Patch didn’t see it, and he blamed himself for Carin’s death because she would still be alive if she had never met him. Mitch admitted that he could out-doctor anyone with his book smarts, but he couldn’t reach a patient like Patch could. Mitch was unable to convince Aggie to eat after three weeks. Patch went to a cliff edge, where he told God that He should have spent the seventh day creating compassion and God wasn’t worth it. A butterfly then landed on Patch’s shirt, and he remembered the conversation he had with Carin. Before she died, Carin had told Patch her story about how she loved caterpillars because they could turn into beautiful butterflies and as a child she watched them from her window, but she didn’t think she could see herself as a beautiful butterfly now matter how old she became because of the men who molested her as a child. That changed Patch’s heart, and he went to the hospital and surprised elder Aggie with a pool full of noodles like she wanted. Aggie was very happy and she and Patch swam in the noodles. Afterward, a nurse handed Patch a notice of dismissal from Walcott and signed by Anderson, so Patch confronted Walcott and demanded to see his file. Files were off-limits to students, but Patch grabbed his file anyway and left with it. He and Truman studied the file on Patch and discovered that Patch had near-perfect scores and he was described as being excessively happy. Mitch then suggested that Patch appeal to the state medical board. Patch went before the board and was charged with practicing medicine and running a clinic without a license. Patch explained that everyone who came to the ranch were both patients and doctors because they needed physical or mental treatment but they also helped other people. Patch asked since when was a doctor anything more than someone who visited and treated sick people because a doctor’s goal was to prevent death and give people a better quality of life.Patch went on to say that whether or not the board let him graduate wouldn’t change the fact that he would go on to be a doctor, professional with a title and white coat or not. Truman came in with the children Patch treated and their parents, and they all wore red clown noses like Patch was fond of doing. The board adjourned, and when they returned they announced that they did not approve of Patch’s dislike of their tried and true medical practices but they couldn’t deny that he got through to the patients. They also couldn’t prevent Patch from graduating because his grades were high, and the board told Walcott that his work would improve if he practiced excessive happiness too. At his University graduation ceremony, Patch accepted his degree, and when he bowed to the crowd his bare butt was entirely exposed to the crowd because his gown was cut in the back. The movie ended by advising that over the next 12 years, Patch opened a home-based family medical practice and treated more than 15,000 people who had no insurance or way to pay for their treatment. He bought the 105 acres in West Virginia and the Gesundheit Hospital was in the process of being built and over 1,000 doctors wanted to leave their jobs and join Patch. This movie had a budget of $50-90 million and grossed over $202 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Gene Shalit, The Today Show “Brilliant!”

REASON. This movie began with a large group of Marines, members of the Avatar program, being kept in machines called cryo and given high pay to do whatever the RDA mining company told them to do. The Marines traveled to the planet Pandora to study it, and the humans required oxygen masks in other to breathe the toxic air. The other dangers the soldiers faced were the Omaticaya, the native blue-skinned Na’vi clan who were almost impossible to kill and who possessed poison-tipped arrows that could kill in less than a minute. Corporal Jake Sully (ex-Marine confined to a wheelchair after a spinal injury), Dr. Norm Spellman (xeno-anthropologist) and Dr. Grace Augustine (head of the program) were assigned as drivers of the avatars, giant blue-skinned bodies created from human DNA and Na’vi DNA. Jake’s brother Tom had a PhD and three years of lab training and was supposed to be one of the drivers, but he was shot and killed so Jake was taking his place since they were identical twins and Jake could use Tom’s avatar. Grace wasn’t pleased that it was Jake instead of Tom because Jake had no training. Jake was instructed to document in a video log everything that happened during the next six years. The RDA had already built the Omaticaya schools and taught them English, but they lost trust and the schools were shut down. Now they wanted the avatars to gain the natives’ trust again. They used unobtanium, a rare rock that sold for $20 million a kilogram, to pay for the operation. Jake, Norm and Grace were put inside the Link machines, where they used their minds to control their avatars. Jake tried to do too much at once before he was used to his avatar, and he ran outside because he was glad to be in a body that wasn’t paralyzed. Since Jake’s veteran benefits weren’t enough to pay for the surgery he needed to get back feelings in his legs, Colonel Miles Quaritch (head of security) promised Jake he would get the surgery if his mission succeeded. The avatar trio drivers were sent out, armed with machine guns, into the dangerous and hostile world of Pandora to collect samples of the plant and animal life. Jake wandered off and encountered a ferocious creature, and he ran and escaped by jumping off a cliff into a river below. Grace and Norm searched for Jake in Trudy Chacón’s combat helicopter, but they had to give up because they weren’t allowed to search in the dark even though it was unlikely Jake would survive the night. Jake started a fire, and it attracted a group of vicious dog-like creatures that attacked Jake. He fought some of them off but was saved by Neytiri te Tskaha Mo’at’ite, the princess of the Omaticaya clan. Neytiri was upset that she had to needlessly kill those animals to save Jake, and she wasn’t going to take him to her village until she witnessed the pure white spirits called the Seeds of the Sacred Tree land on Jake. Neytiri knew it was a sign from Eywa, the Na’vi goddess deity. The other Omaticaya appeared and surrounded Jake, and Neytiri convinced them not to attack. They took Jake to Neytiri’s dad Eytukan te Tskaha Kamun’itan, the clan leader, and Neytiri’s mom Mo’at, the spiritual leader (Tsahik). Mo’at nicked Jake for his blood and then savagely licked and tasted his blood, as Jake explained that he was from the jarhead clan. Mo’at announced that Neytiri would teach Jake their native ways and then they would decide if he was insane or not. The Na’vi people were only half-clothed so parts of their bare butts and breasts were visible. Grace and the others were able to revive Jake from the coma-like state he was in while inside the Link. Parker Selfridge, the RDA corporate minister who had to report to the shareholders, explained that the Omaticaya village where Jake went was located on the richest unobtanium deposit around. Jake was given three months to convince the Omaticaya to relocate, because the bulldozers would come to destroy their Hometree. Jake learned all about the Omaticaya and their ways, and he reported back to the RDA. Grace decided to be nice to Jake because she knew he was her only way back into the clan so she could finish her research. Jake learned how to ride a creature like horse, and Neytiri taught him how to be a warrior and speak Na’vi. Jake convinced the Omaticaya to let Grace back into their clan since she was kicked out after her school was closed down. Grace had to put Jake to bed because he was so tired from switching back and forth between himself and his avatar and all the things that he did in Pandora. After Jake made a clean kill and thanked “Ewya” for providing the animal to sustain the clan, Neytiri decided that Jake was ready. He was taken to Oo-rah to learn to ride an ikran (dragon-like banshee) and become a hunter. Jake succeeded and bonded with his ikran, and he and Neytiri went hunting together. Jake told the RDA about the Tree of Souls, the Na’vi’s most sacred place with Bermuda Triangle effects. After three months, Quaritch told Jake that he made the arrangements for him to get his legs back and he would leave that night. However, Jake insisted that he go through the ceremony so he could become one of The People and make the deal with them. Neytiri took Jake to the Tree of Voices to hear the voices of their ancestors. That officially made Jake one of the Omaticaya, and he was given the privileges of making his bow from the wood of the Hometree and choosing a wife. Jake and Neytiri both chose each other and they made out passionately, which led to them having sex and being mated for life. The next morning, the bulldozers came to destroy the forest. Neytiri was unable to wake up Jake because he was out of his avatar, but he soon came back and tried to tell the bulldozer to stop but it didn’t. Jake told the Omaticaya that the Sky People were coming to destroy their home, and Tsu’tey te Rongola Atey’itan (the next clan leader) was angry and attacked Jake for being a traitor. When Quaritch discovered that Jake was now on the side of the Omaticaya and was fighting against the RDA, Quaritch interrupted Grace and Jake’s links and brought them back to the real world. Grace explained that the trees they just bulldozed were sacred to the Omaticaya because there was a global network, with more connections than the human brain, shared by the tree. The Na’vi could access it and they could upload and download data and memories. Parker didn’t believe a word of it and gave Quaritch the go-ahead to gas the indigenous and drive them out of the forest since they would never give up the Hometree. Jake and Grace told Parker that the blood of dead children would be on his hands if they attacked the Hometree, so Parker gave Jake and Grace one hour to convince the Omaticaya to leave. Jake revealed to the clan that he was sent there to become one of them and force their cooperation for the relocation. Neytiri (the next Tsahik) screamed at Jake that he would never be one of them, and Eytukan ordered for Jake and Grace to be tied up. The Omaticaya refused to move and shot their arrows at the RDA helicopters when they arrived. However, the Omaticaya could do little to stop Quaritch from firing gas and missiles at the Hometree. Mo’at cut Jake and Grace free and begged for their help, and they led the Omaticaya to safety. Trudy left and didn’t want to participate in the destruction. The Hometree went up in flames and fell to the ground, and the Omaticaya were devastated. Eytukan was injured, and before he died he gave his bow to Neytiri and told her to protect The People. Neytiri told Jake to leave and never come back, and Parker pulled the plug and brought Jake and Grace back to reality. They and Norm were put in a cell, but were rescued by Trudy and Dr. Max Patel. Max stayed behind to learn information, and Trudy took everyone in her Rogue One helicopter to the Tree of Souls, where the Omaticaya were seeking refuge. Quaritch fired at Rogue One with his guns, and Grace got hit and Jake used the trauma kit to take care of her. Jake switched into his avatar using a Link onboard the helicopter. He set out to tame the Toruk Macto, the most powerful ikran, and he succeeded and flew to the Tree of Souls. He made amends with Neytiri, and Tsu’tey, now the clan leader, agreed to fly with Jake. Mo’at led the healing ceremony for Grace, and the Omaticaya chanted for Ewya to help Grace. However, Grace died and she told Jake that Eywa was real and she was with the goddess. Jake told the Omaticaya that they would fight the Sky People and not let them take the Na’vi land, and the Omaticaya agreed. They went to recruit thousands of Na’vi from other clans, and they joined the Omaticaya because Toruk Macto called to them. Quaritch instructed his soldiers to destroy the Tree of Souls to break the Na’vi connection to Eywa. Max reported to Jake’s team what was going on. Jake went to the Tree of Souls and asked Eywa for help, but Neytiri told him that it was no use because the Great Mother did not take sides. The Na’vi on their ikran took down the RDA aircraft while the Na’vi on horseback fought the armed soldiers on the ground. Neytiri’s ikran was shot and killed, Tsu’tey was killed and Norm was shot. Trudy’s helicopter Rogue One was hit and blew up. Eywa heard Jake’s prayers and sent the animals of the forest to attack the soldiers. Jake threw bombs onto the helicopter, and when he got to Quaritch’s the Colonel shot Jake. Jake fell to the forest floor, and Quaritch jumped out in his robot suit before the helicopter exploded. Neytiri, astride a forest beast, knocked Quaritch down but he stabbed the beast to death. Neytiri was trapped underneath the animal, and Quaritch was going to kill her but then Jake went after him. Quaritch was just about to kill Jake when Neytiri freed herself and killed Quaritch with two poison arrows to the heart. The deadly Pandora air started leaking into Jake’s link, and he got himself out and tried to reach the oxygen mask but passed out before he could. Neytiri revived Jake with the mask, and they were both happy to “See,” each other. The Na’vi forced the remaining alien humans to return to their planet while Max and Norm stayed with the natives. Toruk Macto was no longer needed, so he left. Jake finished his last video log and then went to his birthday party with the Omaticaya, and he decided to stay with the tribe. The movie ended with mother and daughter, Mo’at and Neytiri, transferring Jake’s spirit from his human body to his avatar body to live in permanently. This movie had a budget of $237 million and grossed over $2.9 billionat the box office.

REASON: This movie began in an Egyptian temple in 1914, where archaeologist Professor Pacoli studied hieroglyphs with his assistant Billy Masterson. Pacoli concluded that every 5,000 years, three planets eclipsed and opened a black hole and evil, represented by a snake, reigned over the Earth. Pacoli added that there was a Fifth element, a perfect Supreme Being, in addition to the original four: fire, water, earth and air. A priest working for the Mondoshawan aliens (Guardians) overheard and decided that Pacoli and Billy knew too much, so the priest tried to offer them poisoned water. However, Pacoli dumped the water and insisted that they toast their discovery with alcohol instead. The Mondoshawan then arrived in their spaceship, and they opened a passageway. Pacoli had a heart attack and died. The Mondoshawan took the four elemental stones out of the room and informed the priest that the stones were not safe on Earth anymore but the Mondoshawan would return in 300 years when the war came. Billy was afraid and pointed a gun at the Mondoshawan, and the priest told Billy that the aliens were their friends and not to harm them. Billy tripped and the gun went off and hit the Mondoshawan, and then the walls closed in around the aliens and trapped them. They instructed the priest to pass on his knowledge to the next priest, and the priest took the key from the Mondoshawan. 300 years later in a futuristic New York City, President Lindberg of the Federated Territories spoke with General Staedert. Staedert wanted to shoot down the ball of fire in space called the “dark planet,” and the president agreed because it was dangerous. Father Vito Cornelius tried to tell the president that shooting the planet would only strengthen it, but President Lindberg didn’t listen and gave Staedert orders to fire the missiles. The dark planet rapidly increased in size upon impact, and it destroyed the spacecraft that Staedert and his men were firing from. Korben Dallas, a former major in the Elite Special Forces Unit of the Federated Army, worked as a cab driver in the futuristic city of South Brooklyn, New York filled with flying cars and no traffic control. Vito explained to President Lindberg that the dark planet would try to exterminate all life and the Mondoshawan were in possession of the five elements, the Fifth of which was the ultimate warrior created to protect life. The president gave the Mondoshawans permission to come to Earth with the stones, but before they could the Mangalore creatures shot down their ship. The only survivor of the crash was taken to the Nucleo Lab in NYC. Staedert gave permission for the creature to be reconstructed into the Fifth element, which was an orange-haired female who spoke a foreign language and later revealed her name to be Leeloo. Leeloo broke out of her supposedly unbreakable enclosure, and the police tried to stop her but she jumped off the building into the city below. Leeloo crashed in Korben’s taxi, and he lost four of the five points he had left on his license because of the accident. The police announced that they were going to arrest Leeloo, and she begged Korben to help her. Dallas refused, but then he changed his mind and decided to try and get Leeloo to safety (and he lost his last point in the process). The police gave chase and shot at the taxi, but Korben was able to escape into the fog where it was impossible to be found. Leeloo asked to see Father Vito Cornelius and then she fainted. Korben brought Leeloo to Vito’s house, and when he saw the tattoo on Leeloo’s wrist he realized that she was the Fifth element but couldn’t believe that he was a she because everyone thought the Supreme Being was a man. Korben kissed Leeloo to wake her up, so she pulled a gun on him. The language Leeloo spoke was the divine language, and Father Vito spoke it as well and was able to communicate with her. Leeloo revealed that the stones were missing but she knew where they were. Father Vito kicked Dallas out. Meanwhile, the evil Jean-Baptist Emmanuel Zorg gave the Mangalores four crates of new and improved ZF-1 guns (Zorg’s creation) ideal for fighting police in exchange for the case of four elemental stones that the Mangalores stole when they attacked the Mondoshawan. Zorg was very angry when he discovered that the case was empty and someone else had the real stones. Leeloo explained to Father Vito that she was supposed to meet with the blue-skinned diva Plavalaguna at the hotel in Fhloston Paradise, a vacation destination on another planet. The Mondoshawan entrusted Plavalaguna with the stones, and the diva was going to give an opera performance at the Charity Ball in Fhloston Paradise. Father Vito was taken to see Zorg, who demanded to know where the stones were but Father Vito didn’t know. Zorg choked on a cherry, and Father Vito saved his life with a pat on the back so Zorg decided to spare Father Vito’s life for the time being. Zorg gave the Mangalores one hour to bring him the stones and told them to torture the president or anyone else in order to accomplish their mission. General Munro of the Federated Army informed President Lindberg that the dark planet ate up all the satellites. One of Zorg’s goons used a cockroach to spy on the conversation and found out about Plavalaguna. President Lindberg squashed the cockroach and sent one of Staedert’s undercover agents to the hotel. Korben’s mom called to tell him that he won the Gemini Croquette contest and his prize was a ten-day trip to Fhloston Paradise for two. Korben had no idea and just then the tickets arrived in the mail. General Munro appeared and told Korben that the Army was offering him a new job since he lost his cab driver job. Korben’s mission was to travel to Fhloston Paradise and retrieve the stones from Plavalaguna. Korben didn’t want to since he retired six months before, and then General Munro revealed that he rigged the contest so Korben could win the tickets and Major Iceborg would accompany Korben as his wife. Leeloo and Father Vito then came to Korben’s house, and Dallas told the soldiers that Leeloo was going to marry him but she hated the military. Korben stuffed the soldiers in the fridge to hide them. Father Vito demanded to have the tickets so he and Leeloo could save the world. Zorg sent out minions to find Korben, abduct him and steal the tickets from him. However, they mistook the wrong person for Korben. The Mangalores decided to steal the stones themselves and then negotiate with Zorg as revenge for him not appreciating the Mangalores risking their lives to get the case from the Mondoshawan. Father Vito knocked Korben out and stole the tickets, but Korben quickly recovered and told Munro that he was going to take the mission. Father Vito gave passes to Leeloo and his assistant David saying they were married and David was Korben. Korben appeared then and took the pass from David, and Father Vito gave David the key to the temple in Egypt and went to handle things himself. Two Mangalores shapeshifted to look somewhat like Korben and Leeloo and tried to check in, but they shot up the airport when they were identified as monsters. Korben was called away for an interview with Ruby Rhod, the transgender radio talk show host who dressed and acted like a woman and who advertised the Gemini Croquette contest. Ruby was mad that Korben didn’t have anything to say for Ruby’s audience. Korben and Leeloo boarded their flight, and Leeloo started learning English. The man that Zorg sent to take Korben’s place on the flight didn’t succeed because Korben already checked in. The goon called Zorg to tell him the bad news, and Zorg blew up the payphone that his thug was calling from. The spaceship plane took off, and male Ruby who acted female did sexual things with one of the female stewardesses. Zorg’s boss Mr. Shadow called him, and Zorg was terrified of him and promised to have the stones soon. Father Vito stowed away on the spaceship and was discovered. Upon arrival in Fhloston Paradise, Korben checked into his hotel room and already had reservations for Plavalaguna’s opera. As the diva performed, the Mangalores shot up the vacationers and tried to steal the case of stones out of Plavalaguna’s belongings. Leeloo turned into a fighting machine and downed the Mangalores with ease and super strength. However, Zorg himself then appeared and shot at Leeloo multiple times. The Mangalores overtook the ship and shot more people, including Plavalaguna. The diva told Korben to give the stones to Leeloo because she was the Supreme Being and needed his help and love. Zorg stole the case from Plavalaguna’s room, but then he had a breakdown because the stones weren’t there either. Before she died, Plavalaguna told Korben that the stones were inside her. Korben reached into Plavalaguna’s gunshot wound and pulled out the stones, and he gave them to Ruby and told him to guard them with his life. Ruby screamed like a girl as Korben shot at the Mangalores and they fired missiles at him. Korben was covered with cuts from shattered glass, but he recovered and blew up the Mangalores. The Mangalore leader then threatened to start killing hostages, and when Korben Dallas was sent in to negotiate he shot the leader in the head. Korben then went to rescue Leeloo, who was still alive. Zorg planted a bomb inside the hotel that would detonate in five minutes, so the vacationers were told to calmly evacuate the hotel but they panicked and ran scared. Zorg stopped the bomb from exploding with just five seconds on the clock, but then the Mangalore leader overrode Zorg’s authority and detonated the bomb again. Korben was able to get Leeloo, Ruby and Father Vito out in a spaceship just in time. President Lindberg was informed that Father Vito was taking everyone to the temple in Egypt where it all started. The president and his crew celebrated with champagne, but then they learned that the dark planet was hurtling towards Earth very fast and they had two hours to figure out how to stop it. Korben’s team matched up the four stones to their spots inside the temple and put Leeloo in the center. Father Vito didn’t know how to open the stones, so they asked Leeloo and she explained that “wind blows, fire burns, rain falls.” They puzzled over the stones, and David accidentally came across the answer when he blew on his wind stone and it opened. They used water, earth and fire from a match to open the other stones. With just one minute left until the dark planet destroyed Earth, Leeloo told Korben that she read about how humankind was always at war with each other. Leeloo didn’t think they deserved to be saved, she knew that love was one of the things worth saving but she had never felt it because she was built to protect and not to love it. Korben Dallas told Leeloo that he would take her on a vacation and he loved her, so the two kissed passionately. Leeloo then used her power united with the stones to prevent the dark planet from hitting the Earth with just seconds until impact. The dark planet was pronounced dead, and President Lindberg went to the Nucleo Lab to congratulate Korben Dallas and Leeloo, the two heroes. The professor checked on the two inside the reactor machine and was flabbergasted because Korben and Leeloo were having sex and wouldn’t be ready to go live in one minute. Korben’s mom called, and Lindberg answered but Mrs. Dallas didn’t think he could be the president because she believed the president was an idiot. The phone was taken away from the president and Dallas and Leeloo were left alone. This movie had a budget of $90 million and grossed over $263 million at the box office. The movie cover art listed, Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, “This film is primed to explode! PRODUCTION YEAR: 2013 Columbia Pictures / Happy Madison Productions / Sony Pictures Releasing

RATING [1 LEAST FAVORITE TO 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]: 1

REASON: This movie takes place in small town New England Stanton, Connecticut (filmed in Swampscott and Saugus, Marblehead, Massachusetts) and began with retired Hollywood millionaire Lenny Feder and his wife Roxanne Chase-Feder in their bed one morning. Lenny woke up to see a male buck in the room, and he told Roxanne that it was her mother from Mexico who came to visit and then the male deer peed all over Lenny. The stag then peed on 17-year-old Greg in the shower, and Roxanne screamed at the sight of her son’s private parts. Lenny lured the buck outside using his 8-year-old daughter Becky’s stuffed animal, and then the huge deer with massive antlers shredded the monkey. The buck got in because Becky left the front door open the night before so animals could come in. The mailman was at the door and then gave Lenny a high-five for Roxanne’s pink bra dangling from the stag’s antler. Meanwhile, Lenny’s auto repair shop owner friend, Eric Lamonsoff, watched as his wife, Sally, taught their 7-year-old son, Bean, math and spelling and told the young boy he got the answer correct when it was completely wrong because she didn’t want to hurt her son’s feelings (and the boy was in public school). Lenny’s other friend, Kurt McKenzie, a Quantum cable man, believed his year-old son Ronnie’s diaper was shaped oddly like Nicki Minaj’s butt implants. Kurt’s wife, Deanne, found a gift box in the diaper and inside was a necklace from Kurt as a gift for their 20thanniversary that he remembered and she didn’t. Lenny’s third friend, Marcus Higgins, was at the Stanton train station and had to pick up Braden, the 17-year-old son of Hiccups McGee, one of the women Marcus had a relationship with, because she insisted that Braden spend one summer with his deadbeat dad. Marcus brought along a teddy bear because he was expecting a young child, but it turned out Braden was a scary teen with tattoos and a switchblade and towered over Marcus and looked like him so he felt no need for a DNA test. Braden cut the head off the teddy bear. Lenny was a Hollywood talent agent taking a break from the industry to raise his kids in the hometown state that he grew up in and Roxanne was a fashion designer with her own store in town. Roxanne wanted to have another child and Lenny didn’t so she was mad at him. Greg had a crush on classmate Nancy Arbuckle, the most popular girl in school, and Greg’s younger brother 14-year-old Keithie believed Greg was fugly and too chicken to ask Nancy out. Lenny believed it was safe for Becky and Bean (under age 10) to ride alone to school on their bikes in the small town and not in the city where they used to live. Nick the school bus driver arrived to pick the older kids up and in front of the kids told Lenny that his wife was leaving him after three weeks because she caught him at her mom’s house eating a banana with his butt. Nick admitted that he was out of it because he was on pills given to him by a doctor he met at a Cypress Hill concert. Lenny helped his buddy out and Lenny decided to drive the school bus instead, and Kurt, the Quantum cable man, boarded the bus with his children, 17-year-old Andre and 14-year-old Charlotte. Kurt boasted that he now had a get-out-of-jail-free card and would use it endlessly on Deanne for her forgetting their anniversary. Kurt then tried to convince Lenny to have a first night of summer party at Lenny’s house because his house was the biggest and a mansion. Duffy bullied Keithie on the school bus and threatened to kill him and Lenny and Kurt told Duffy with the Mariah Carey hairdo and white Precious look alike to get down. Roxanne’s employee, Penny, at the Hermosa Boutique revealed that she and Lenny dated in the sixth grade. Penny believed that Lenny still had feelings for her and Penny still wore a barrette in her head from when Lenny told her he liked it as kids. Principal Tardio at Stanton High School was upset that the students sprayed “loser,” on his car and filled it with blue goo. After dropping the kids off at school, Lenny and Kurt picked on Eric for visiting with his elder mom. Nick was passed out in the back and Lenny drove recklessly so Nick ran into the back of the bus hard. The wives went to their yoga class at Squats Fitness, where the janitor pretended to fill in for the new yoga instructor Kyle and had the women do exercises and spank their own butts so he could get stare at their bodies. The married women thought Kyle was hot and asked sexual questions, but then he revealed that he was gay. One yoga class attendee, a burly woman, had a jockstrap in her bag and lil’ Ronnie found it. Lenny and his buddies took Nick in the school bus to Kmart, where Kurt took his pants off and got in one of the beds. An elderly employee yelled at Nick to wake up, and Nick called him Grandma and then went to the bathroom on a display toilet and the employee called for cleanup. Marcus tried to buy a huge knife to protect himself from Braden, and the cashier in the hunting department suggested pepper spray and then the Kmart employee sprayed himself in his fake eye. Malcolm Fluzoo, another Kmart employee, told Kurt that his son Bumpty liked Charlotte and was going to ask her out since he was the only other black kid in the grade. Kurt argued that he would rather have Charlotte date a white guy than Bumpty, who he thought was bald like Malcolm and he got picked on for it. Malcolm added that he already had the dating talk with Bumpty about the sexual relationships Malcolm and Kurt had in high school and Kurt wasn’t happy about that and was concerned for his own daughter. The foursome and Nick left Kmart as a woman on her way inside screamed at her four kids that she wished she never had them. Small town police officers Fluzoo (Malcolm’s brother) and Dante (more chums of Lenny and his gang) were in the parking lot and joked around dancing and pulled a gun on the men for taking the school bus. Dante claimed that the old Dante in high school stole Lenny’s parents’ snowmobile and sold it to buy crack cocaine and Lenny couldn’t believe he was now a cop. Dante said he was the law and offered them a presidential police escort to Becky’s ballet recital at McDonough Elementary, and Nick rode on top of the bus on the raft but was then dragged behind it as the two questionable law enforcement officers abusing their power shot their guns out the window like gangsters and scaring the neighborhood citizens. The women bragged about how cute their young daughters were onstage as the men stared at the dance teacher’s revealing neckline and Eric videoed the teacher’s cleavage inside the school. The dance moves for the very young schoolgirls involved crawling across the floor in a sexy way and sticking their pelvises in the air.Afterwards, Tommy Cavanaugh, the guy from Texas who used to bully Lenny in ninth grade, came to New England and collected his dance teacher lover. Lenny took the incident out on his young daughter Becky and yelled at her and he almost peed his pants when biker bully Cavanaugh confronted him after so many years. Everyone then went to the Ice Cream House, where Marcus tried to tell Dickie Bailey how to fix the machine and it involved chocolate ice cream coming out of the machine and it looked like he was pooping. Eric recorded on video the stage drama scene the men knew would happen. Principal Tardio said goodbye to his students on the last day of school over the intercom as he picked a Froot Loop out of his belly button and ate it. The bell rang, and two boys dumped blue paint on the principal, turning him blue inside the school, from the ceiling above. Duffy continued bullying Keithie and called him an a**-tue. Instead of taking the bus, Braden convinced Greg and Andre to go into the no-trespassing area called Suicide 35 at the Quarry (Westford), where people, including their dads, included jumped off 35 feet below into water (Amoskeag Lake aka Chebacco Lake in Essex MA). A group of college kids were partying there, and one drunken adult bikini-clad female gave underage Greg and Andre beers and gave them both hugs. They planned to dump the beers and then pretend to be drunk, and as they dumped them it looked like they were peeing. The boys were across from the Suicide 35 jumping area, where Lenny and his buds just arrived so Eric could jump for the first time since he never did with them in high school. However, Andy and his Kappa Eta Sigma fraternity claimed it was their property, and Kurt commented that he hadn’t seen that many arrogant white college kids Eminem played Duke. Greg and Andrew danced with drunk bikini-clad and bra and underwear wearing college girls. The fraternity war whooped Native-American style and the Kappa brothers came over to back them up. University College man Andy insisted that Lenny and his gang had to all jump naked into the water in order to leave, so they all did. The college adults and high-schoolers across the way saw Lenny and the other men’s full-frontal penis while the camera and the fraternity saw the back bare butts. Heavyweight Eric landed in the water on Marcus’s head. The university men threw the clothes down to the men in the water. Kurt couldn’t believe nobody was scared of black people anymore and he damned Obama. Greg and Andre were shocked that they saw their dad’s penises. Braden, in the water on the other side, was angry and had on his arm “Soup kitchen my a**,” because he figured out Marcus lied about his whereabouts earlier when he sent him off to school for the day. They discovered that the tires on the Star Wars van were slashed and Marcus knew it was his son Satan who did it. They took the van to Eric’s garage, with signs out front Eldorado Tires, Goodrich and Interstate Batteries. Marcus went off about his one-night stand with Hiccups, and Beefcakes Kitty, the manly woman from the yoga class, and a mechanic employed at Eric’s garage didn’t want to hear it. The guys then convinced Marcus to sit inside a huge tire for fun while they rolled him a little way, but Lenny got distracted by a phone call and Marcus rolled through traffic and smashed over the local police car. Officer Fluzoo was directing traffic and danced while doing it, and then he jumped in the car with Dante and sped off after the runaway tire with Marcus. Beefcakes kicked the tire to go faster when it went past her since she was mad at Marcus, and then the large tire rolled over Nick in the park when it rolled through a kid’s playground. Officer Flu zoo (extremely tall) was able to stop the tire by standing in front of it and he hardly flinched when it ran into him and it came to a stop. Marcus threw up and his buddies all wanted a turn in the tire. Officers Fluzoo and Dante revealed that they arrested Braden for spray-painting the fraternity and trashing it and Braden was in the back of the squad car. Braden knew it would make college man Andy believe that the Lenny and his buddies vandalized the frat house and they would avenge it, and Andy did and chanted “kill,” to his homies. Lenny took Keithie to the football field to teach him some moves, and the Puritans coach was impressed by Keithie’s skills until Lenny tripped and fell on Keithie and broke his son’s leg. Kurt dropped Andre off at his class with drivers’ ed teacher Wylie, and Kurt pulled out into traffic as a bad example. Officers Fluzoo and Dante released Braden, and Marcus didn’t want to be home alone with his delinquent knife-wielding son and the man jumped into Officer Fluzoo’s arms for protection. Eric canceled coffee with his wife Sally to watch the Great Renaldo soap opera and nurses who tried to kill the fake male drama star at his mom’s house with her, and he got caught when Sally came over to bring Mrs. Lamonsoff a new floor fan to cool down her house. Lenny was hoping Dr. Larry could save him from his mad-cat Spanish wife who was going to chew him apart for his lies and deceit. Dr. Larry told Lenny that the cure for anger was Jack Daniels and the doctor then took a swig out of the canteen he carried with him and added he was tired and needed to rest after over 24 hours on duty. The fraternity men pulled up in a car next to Andre and told him they were getting revenge, and they threw a beer to the driver’s Ed teacher, Wylie, and accused Andre of being intoxicated. Wylie deducted points for that. Kurt was late for his cable install appointment on purpose, and he spied on the customer and waited for her to go to the bathroom before going to the door and left a sign that he would be back the following day and drove off in his cable van fast before she could get to the door. Marcus and Braden agreed to search the Internet for funny videos and spend some civil time with each other. Sally told Eric that it was fine he was looking at Becky’s dance teacher because Sally was looking at gay Kyle. Sally then proved she was okay with it and went to the car wash school event put on by young cheerleaders in their half-shirts and miniskirts exposing their butts as a fundraiser for the cheer team. However, the females then switched and the male cheerleaders wearing very tight and revealing shorty-shorts and washed the car. The male cheerleaders spanked each other and got all wet and soapy and took tips from Eric in their mouth and licked the white soap off the windshield. The car in front of them being washed by the female cheerleaders was the driver’s ed car, and Wylie drank beer and the teacher loved the young girls all soaped up and exposed. The dopey town police officers were there, and Fluzoo had his shirt off and the female cheerleaders scrubbed the officer Flu zoo’s bare chest down but Dante joined them and scrubbed down his male police partner’s chest with soap and water himself. At the supermarket to get supplies for the ‘80s themed party, young Becky called Kyle “Stud Muffin” since her mom did. Penny was there with her husband Wylie, and Penny ran into Lenny and passed him a note. Wylie said Andre just squeaked by (car wash helped em pass) on his Driver’s Ed test. Roxanne wasn’t happy about the note that told Lenny to meet Penny at his USPS mailbox at 11:00 pm, so Roxanne ate the note and got rid of the evidence. Greg got a job at the Ice Cream House, and his dream girl Nancy showed up. Greg followed his dad Lenny’s three-step method (make laugh, keep laugh, then ask out for same night date) and asked Nancy out, and she agreed. Dickie threw an ice cream scoop at his wife and hit her in the back of the head with it afterward because he remembered Lenny used the same three step date rules on his own wife back in high school. Most everyone had to dress up for the 80’s themed party. Lenny went as Bruce Springsteen and Roxanne went as Tina Turner. Lenny yelled at Roxanne again that he didn’t want any more kids and to drop it, so Roxanne ran off in tears. Roxanne then revealed that she was pregnant, so Lenny cursed the Motel 6 hot tub. Kurt went as Prince, Eric as Meat Loaf, Marcus as Oates and Braden as Hall. Papa Smurf was Principal Tardio and his wife Jackie was Smurfette and young daughters Sadie and Sunny were smurfs, Bean as ZZ Top, and young Ronnie as MJ…Michael Jackson. Another Prince was there and Kurt told him that he looked like Morgan Freeman as a transvestite. Beefcakes came as Hulk Hogan, Sally came as Madonna. Nick went as Boy George and Kyle came as Indiana Jones. Nick told Kyle that he was into pills and the Discovery Channel. Donald Trump (not Simon and Simon as you will read in another scene how they trashed Trump) in a black suit with red tie and white shirt (the guy with the fake eye) downed beers from the fridge with Magnum PI wearing Hawaiian shirt and tigers baseball cap (Thomas Magnum) handing them to him. Officers Dante (Crockett) and Fluzoo (Tubbs) from Miami Vice sat with Billy Idol and Lenny (Springstein) playing a drinking game. Roxanne insisted that Lenny put Becky to sleep and she took his spot and showed up the guys. Eric told Bean it was time for his young son to go to bed then discovered that Bean could play Fur Elise piano after the kid saw it in his dream even though he could not do math and therefore was a genius like himself. Wylie (Vanilla Ice) and his wife Penny (Debbie Gibson) showed up and Penny wanted to stay behind to meet Lenny at 11:00 pm as she arranged in her note at the grocery store. Lenny tried to give her children’s medicine to go to sleep with so he could party with the many people and band outside. Becky said no and she insisted on having her Mr. Gigglesworth stuffed animal. Nick was in the kitchen in his underwear (used global warming as excuse) and hit on gay Kyle. Kyle told Lenny that he sewed up the ripped stuffed monkey which he learned from his tailor dad since there was no such thing as gay camp. The whole lot of partiers in town seemed to be at the loud house party and joined in on what they deemed fun, which included giving Bowser the dog alcohol through a tube, the wealthy transplanted Hollywood Feder family in rural America did not seem to care what happened to their four-legged loved one. The live band J.Geils  (The Vibrators) sang on stage, “Baby, Baby,” as Officer Dante skied off the rooftop shooting off guns in his bikini underwear and screamed that he was the law. When Officer Fluzoo jumped off the diving board he broke it, and then he peed in the pool and the water turned sapphire blue so everyone rushed to get out of the pool. Dickie attended the party as Tom Cruise from Top Gun “Maverick” and Greg was Tom Cruise “Joel” from Risky Business. Charlotte (Cyndi Lauper) had a solo then when Greg (Joel) triped over the band’s cord and the music went out and the crowd cheered Cyndi on. Bumpty (Mr. T) told Charlotte singing wasn’t her thing as his mom, Mary, stood next to him in her grey business suit as herself and his dressed up Prince dad (Malcolm). Nancy came as Pat Benetar, and Tommy Cavanaugh was the Terminator with his girlfriend the dance teacher. Lenny challenged Tommy to a fight, and Tommy said his son was overseas in Afghanistan. Cavanaugh secretly told Lenny to hit him on the chin and he would go down so they could be down their 30-year battle and show Keithie how not to take the bullying any longer. Tommy Cavanaugh then changed his mind and put on a grand show and begged Lenny not to hit him. Kavanaugh totally tricked everyone into believing the fake stunt and the crowd loved it and thought-crying Cavanaugh was a joke for crying while Lenny walked away as a hero. Cavanaugh’s girlfriend in a her Robert Palmer girl’s outfit promised him a special hip-hop dance for him that night (with Mario and Luigi dressed men in costume as well as Richard Simmons and Devo in the background). The college kids then showed up, and Z-Dog (Braden) said that he trashed the frat house but they didn’t believe it. The college students claimed the swimming hole was theirs even though the people there grew up there and used it for years. The neighborhood women said some of the females had a penis and they pointed to Beefcakes, and then the two sides (townsfolk and the college students) clashed and everyone fought each other. The women ganged up and punched Trump in the face as Trump grabbed at them and told the women they were hot. Papa Smurf (Principal Tardio) jumped from a tree on top of them all and made Trump blue with the blue paint. Keithie knocked out one guy, so Duffy decided that he would always protect. One guy dressed as Celtics Larry Byrd put a frat guy’s head between his legs near his butt cheeks. Prince Eric and Deanne Tina beat another guy up and Ronnie Michael beat him up. Boy George screamed that he couldn’t breathe as a college kid strangled him and choked him out, and then Kyle Indiana Jones came to the rescue and fought off the student with martial arts. Boy George Nick tried to kiss Indiana Jones and ended up kissing the dog instead. Indiana Jones Kyle threw up at the sight. Tommy’s girlfriend fed him party food while Terminator Cavanaugh knocked out a bunch of college kids and piled them up on the ground. Greg kicked someone in the nuts, and the college girl who gave Greg and Andre the beer called Greg a traitor and kicked him there too. Nancy kicked the girl in the private parts, and teens Nancy and Greg kissed. A frat student pulled the wig off Malcolm, and his brother officer Fluzoo asleep in the pink playhouse broke it apart and and threw the frat man over the house. Becky got out of her bed and went outside and saved her dad who was getting beat up by ninja boy Andy. Becky gave Andy her stuffed monkey Gigglesworth, and the buck came at him, knocked him down and chewed apart the stuffed animal at Andy’s crotch. The college junkies retreated then. Penny shoved pregnant Roxanne out of the way to check on Lenny, but Roxanne got up from the ground and then kicked Penny in the face. Penny’s husband Wylie (Vanilla Ice) laughed at the crazy performance. The neighborhood men had dinner that night at Mrs. Lamonsoff’s house like they used to in high school and she told them to treasure the unexpected children in their lives because her Eric was an accident baby as a result of when she and her husband were in the men’s room at a Patriots game. Officer Dante was passed out on the lawn but before that he tried to arrest an anthill.Lenny welcomed the new baby to his family by talking to Roxanne’s stomach and then had sex with his wife. After sex, Lenny burpsnarted (burp, sneeze, fart) like Eric did throughout the movie (China virus…throw up, diarrhea, sneezing). This movie had a budget of $80 million and grossed over $247 million at the box office. Appallingly, In 2017 President Obama pardoned the four male major role players in this movie that clearly hated on Trump, exposed their naked private parts to children and had gangster officers that broke more laws then they enforced, and had medical workers, school officials and members of the community doing questionable if not illegal things.
